Purchase agreement or no purchase agreement, that is dastardly behavior. Surely such business practices on a non-abandoned custom ordered vehicle (not a stock build) cannot be in line with Ford's policies. I can't think of a better example of "malicious compliance". Rat b******s.
So I am supposed to be a 7/21 build for a 2-door BB. I used the link to look up modules and I can see a bunch listed under the BCE section, but nothing under the PCM section. Also, I get an error when I try to update Sync with my VIN. Does anyone know what this means? Even if it got a bad top, I...
Hey Sean, nice to see your post about your Bronco. Also glad to see your 20 day shipping prediction all the way out here! Hopefully that holds for our 2-doors. Didn't realize your build is so damn similar to mine. Btw, what's the likelihood of these 2-door builds being in MIC top purgatory? I'm...
Besides the obvious rattle from the front seat (easily solvable I presume), he also responded to one of the comments that the top was rattling a bit too. After the WT used on the two Canadian videos, this is another hard top with rattles. I'm just hoping these are rare cases as opposed to being...
And the dealer I'm working with in the Bay Area offered x-plan for a limited period of time to get reservation holders to move dealerships. I myself have a signed build sheet + pricing at MSRP (I was late to the x-plan game).
In short, there's questionable business tactics in every region.
Hey Tommy,
1. We're on the same page here, I hope that was obvious :)
2. Congrats on the Jeep. The trim and 2k package looks damn good
3. The videos from the 3 of you have been awesome from the time I've been watching them
4. You are not going to get any reasonable or constructive criticism on...
Look at all these adults trying and succeeding in coming off as petulant children. Then again, this is the extreme 1-2% of Bronco reservation holders (fanboys?), so this was entirely expected right after I saw the video and hopped over to this forum. As for the whole "hE rEad tHe jEEp CEO's...
I've asked my dealer contact, and have been informed clearly and transparently about orders, allocations, my # in line etc. I guess every dealer has its own policy.
I have not heard of ADM being charged to any reservation holders....yet. Then again, I may have just missed some thread somewhere. I did exchange a signed build sheet with my dealer with the build price at MSRP (none of those juicy 2-3% off deals). But I imagine my price is protected...I hope...
I am currently a 7/20 build date. The journey went from 6/21 to 7/5 to 8/16 to the day of 7/20. Hoping it doesn't change again. I believe we should expect to see window stickers a week before the build day. I have a 2.7 2-door BB reserved on 7/15.
JLR would've been dead in the water if not for Tata. Fortunately (or unfortunately for some), design and capability decisions are made keeping in mind the 80-90% of the target buyers, and not edge or extreme cases.
Given this is all electronics, shouldn't there be an easy way to plug in an OBD-II device like Carly or something else to just disable it? I've seen that app used for activating/deactivating all sorts of little features in other brands. I live in a city with short-ish traffic lights and plenty...
I had a 7/5 that initially was pushed to 8/16, but then pulled forward to 7/19. I have a 2-door BB 2.7 Mid-package. It feels like the ones getting pulled forward are either lower-end trims or builds without the high-end packages. Everything else seems to be pushed to August to allow for...
Not sure who would have an answer for this, but is there a specific schedule for shipments leaving the factory via rail? I would imagine convoy shipments are a smaller undertaking for shorter distances, and that makes them inherently easier to schedule. But I'd imagine rail shipments have a...
