  1. Fire Extinguisher Mounting in the Bronco - Show Your Installs

I've almost pulled the trigger on buying a few of these so many times, but in the end I keep coming back to that the only time I really seem them working is in controlled tests almost always involving a fire in a container with a fuel that doesn't become hot enough to self-ignite. Bottom line...
  2. Fire Extinguisher Mounting in the Bronco - Show Your Installs

The Misadventure Lab guys did some testing on fire extinguishers, basically the old school ones and the blanket are the only ones that did the job.
  3. Sub Woofer Delete

I removed the link, since you're right that's not the right amp connector.
  4. mObridge amp in non-B&O system - HD Radio Retrofit

Back with an update. Reinstalled my rear panel temporarily. It seems that the key fob antenna is hitting the stealthbox and preventing the panel from fully seating in the rear. When I do some other work in the area I will take the panel off and do something about the antenna interference, it...
  5. mObridge amp in non-B&O system - HD Radio Retrofit

The amp is on a mounting plate with nutserts for the amp to mount to, moving it back or down slightly are options if I can't get enough clearance by simply making room for the upper nutsert to go into the fiber glass a bit (there's a thick area you can drill into). I do need some clearance for...
  6. mObridge amp in non-B&O system - HD Radio Retrofit

Now that I've had this installed a few weeks, I wanted to post a quick update. Still a work in progress and I still need to actually tune the DSP for the speakers. The rear side panel does not fit as with the stealthbox and mObridge amp as I currently have them installed. There are 2...
  7. mObridge @ SEMA - See you there!

oh man I didn't need to read that
  8. mObridge amp in non-B&O system - HD Radio Retrofit

Yeah, when I realized I was gonna lose HD Radio my first thought was I'll just do a swap, but then I realized it really wouldn't be worth the effort for it's own sake and I moved on... Then I discovered if you don't wanna lose cargo space your best option is gonna be the mObridge amp and one of...
  9. mObridge amp in non-B&O system - HD Radio Retrofit

Intro So you bought a Bronco without the Lux/B&O stereo system and you're not happy with the sound. Maybe you're like me and tried replacing the fake sub with the Fusion Amp and Kicker 48CWRT674 but still weren't happy with the sound. Or maybe you really miss having HD Radio. Join me on my...
  10. Cleaning...Took the top off now I have dirt mud and dust everywhere.

Week 2 of ownership I took my Bronco to Uwharrie, with the top down. It was dusty as hell, especially being in the middle of the convoy. I spent like 2 hours cleaning the interior when I got back home and thought I did an OK job.... until I started taking it apart to install my stereo stuff...
  11. JL audio bronco stealth box install with muse way six channel amplifier

That cubby catches any water that gets into the cargo area when the top is down, but also because it's more or less directly over the muffler it can get condensation build up in more humid months from the outside/inside temperature differential. I recall reading some people discovering that...
  12. Stereo Overhaul - Mild Documentation

@brtd did you have any issues mounting the amp to the stealthbox? I'm working on my install this weekend and did a test fit but my side panel would not go back in because the amp was sticking too far out. It sticks out because at the top right mounting hole the nutsert in back does not have...
  13. How to give full power to rear pod speakers (B&O)?

I'm currently preparing for Blue Ridge Rock Festival and should be receiving the final pieces I've been waiting for to get started right before I leave. I'm hoping that I can start doing my install the week after I get back from BRRF and make a post about it all by the end of the month.
  14. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

If you have a sub-delete system you need to activate the sub output using forscan, or tap into the front kick speakers.
  15. Can the center dash speaker be added

The under dash has the hole and mounting tabs (but not the metal clips that go on the tabs), obviously the upper dash would need to either be replaced from a trim level that has the LUX package or your installer would have to do something custom. The Sounds Good Stereo youtube channel has some...
  16. 2023MY Standard Audio (6-speaker) Subwoofer Delete Mandatory and Functional Amps Removed

Yeah that sounds a lot like panels rattling/touching and port noise from the port not being sealed up. I agree with pulling the panels and listening, as well as stuffing an old dish towel or something into the port to seal it up and listening.
  17. IMPORTANT OBSERVATION: Audiofrog GB-40 in-dash

Extreme Audio in VA (https://www.extremeaudio.org/amazing-stereo-upgrade-for-moseley-ford-bronco-raptor/) has done several installs where they put a JL Audio amp under the driver's side rear-seat. JL (and others) even make Marine grade amps that might work well in that location if you have the...
  18. IMPORTANT OBSERVATION: Audiofrog GB-40 in-dash

My impression is that it will work and sound decent, but it won't get as loud as they are capable of. I'm presuming that the numbers published by by mObridge are relatively accurate RMS numbers, the recommended fuse size was 100 amps, so using the general rule of x10 (for class D, x6 for class...
