  1. Spare tire mount reinforcement kit now available from Ford Performance Parts

is there a reason to have this with the stock Sas tires/rims? The reason I'm asking is that I have a nasty metal/metal (I think) squeak coming from my rear passenger corner that I can't track down. I have retightened the rear cap numerous times and put stuff on the rubber seals to reduce...
  2. Rear top removed, center and front tops left installed?

If you consider how the roof panels affix to the car, the front panels go on last so they hold down the 2nd row panel from the front. The alignment pins on the 2nd row panel keep everything from being able to shift and the 2nd row panel is held by latches on all 4 corners - even with no rear...
  3. Is Ford really making you decide between using the built in Nav and supplying the data brokers?

it's in settings. But to be clear, it's not an actual button. It's a virtual button on your touchscreen.
  4. Is Ford really making you decide between using the built in Nav and supplying the data brokers?

I prefer using Google maps because you can get the real time satelite view on your screen - so much more visual information than Waze and other options:
  5. Ford Escape, errr bronco SPORT (lower case bronco on purpose)

I have a Wildtrak and needed to get my son a car - wanted a small SUV that didn't seem too lame, even though I know a CRV or Rav4 are better cars in the same category. He wanted something a little less forgettable. I got him a 2022 Bronco Sport Badlands. And although the driving experience bares...
  6. A/T All-Terrain Tires Tested On the Road Review - by Tire Rack

I mostly drive on road these days and only have 18K miles on my 2021 Wildtrak. No reason to upgrade until the stock tires are worn out. Lots of snow and dirt roads but that's it. I have always had BFG KOs on my 4-Runners since 1995. Reasons I like them: - Generous tread depth (seems like they...
  7. Engine fire destroys Bronco in Portland

I know a guy - most of that will just buff out...
  8. The 4A Advantage

Yes it is a major advantage for daily drivers that get used in wintry road conditions. My daily drivers (since 1988 have all been 4WD SUVs with no full-time 4WD (AWD) option). So while feeling like I should be safer in my highly capable "SUV", the reality was that the nearly all of the time, I...
  9. Is an upgrade speaker swap worth it

My thoughts exactly. Like many, I started with replacing the two dash speakers. Better, but meh. I replaced the rear pods next. No notable difference (even with disabling the bass blocking in the rear). I then upgrade the rear pods to 6.5". Still no "wow" moment (and I am no audiophile). BTW I...
  10. Gasoline octane & MPG

I use 89 octane on my 2.7L 2021 4-door Wildtrak with aftermarket roof rack and have averaged 19.0mpg overall over 20K miles. I have another car for driving like I stole it that only gets 9mpg at 2500lbs.
  11. Do I have Wireless charging??

I don't have it in my 21 Wildtrak "High" package. But my son's Bronco Sport Badlands has it and it's nearly useless unless you remove your phone from it's charger. And it's slow. In fact, if you are running google maps, you might still drain the phone faster than charge it. There are aftermarket...
  12. BAJA bull guard - one difficult bolt

What about just drilling the hole in the bull bar a tiny bit bigger so the bolt can fit through? (with a bit of touch up paint to keep from rusting)
  13. Broken strut for rear tailgate (terrible design!)

I just got a new OEM one, and treat it more gently than I used to. I wish it just worked like a car door where it wants to stay in 2-3 positions, and have a limiting strap.
  14. My new audio system ROCKS!!! Upgraded non B&O w/sub delete

In addition to shutting off the factory EQ settings in Forscan, the bigger reason would be to your change the setting on your rear pods so it sends the full signal to the rear pods. Otherwise, the bass is restricted because it thinks you only have single 4" paper cones. and furthermore, you may...
  15. Wrangler 392 blows up and coasts into a Ford Dealership with a lot full of Broncos 😁

Wow not often you see a Robocop reference. What about the Pontiac 6000SUX?
  16. We Drove Every Ford Bronco Generation - Donut Media

Totally agree. Yet I would also argue that there were four generations of Mustangs between 1964.5 and 1973.
  17. Bronco Roof Spoiler by AIGMUX

LOL!!! wait - is this a real product? Is it as effective as the fake hood scoops? Don't be that guy. Just don't.
  18. Ford Custom Garage Packages Debut with Matte Black & Sinister Bronze Bronco Packages (Dark Trail Series Coming Soon)

agreed that trail app is useless and requires me to log in on my phone first every time - which doesn't always work. Perhaps it's more attractive out west but in New England there are like 5 dirt roads in the database, most of which can be driven on in a Camaro.
