  1. Aux switch power question

You might consider using a relay that can handle the necessary amps, and then this relay is controlled by the aux switch. What a relay does is use a small amount of current to run an electro-magnet that closes a circuit which controls the large amount of amps (in the example below 40 AMPS)...
  2. Does Ford still send your Bronco assembly line photos?

I never got one, and I've had my 2Dr Base since November, 2022. I just figured they gave up on it.
  3. Bronco Badlands

When I got my late 2022 2Dr Base the window-sticker showed the current price as of Nov. 2022 ($35,970 which included shipping, V6, auto, switches, floor mats, etc... but not taxes). But since I ordered mine in October 2021... I got the October 2021 pricing. I didn't have to beg or negotiate...
  4. TPMS dilemma and confusion

I bought 5 Scrader 33500 EZ-sensors (314.9, 315, 433 Mhz) ahd had America's Tires (same as Discount) install all 5 on my new-to-me OBX tires/rims. One is like < $24 compared to about 60-80 if you use the shop's. If you want the inexpensive way... I'd buy one off Amazon, and have it with you...
  5. So now I have two 2 doors…what to do?

Gas where I am (Sacramento CA area) cost about $4.40 at Costco for regular, and about $5.00 at a Chevron. Usually premium is about $0.30 more. That was as of last week. Who knows what it will be this summer. We Californians are stupid... and keep voting for higher gas-tax prices even though...
  6. So now I have two 2 doors…what to do?

I ordered a Base 2.7 2Dr, but after taking a Ranger 2.3 for a ride I tried to switch my order to the 2.3. I think the looks under the hood is cleaner, along with the increased gas mileage, and you're only having to deal with one turbo. However, I did get the 2.7 because the dealer told me a...
  7. DIY TPMS swap

I bought some OBX tires/rims off Craigslist. Guy said they had the TPMS... but they didn't. Big surprise... ITS CRAIGSLIST! I guess I should have known when he sold them for $480, but I figured I still got away for about $700 with 5 TPMS installed. Anyway, I bought the Scrader 33500...
  8. Rumors on Manual Transmission’s Return?

I remember when I took a Dodge Raider (Mitsubushi Montero) in for manual transmission repair. It came out worse than when it went in. Had to take it to another dealer to get it done right. 2nd dealer said a part had been left out. If there is a problem (TSB) with the manual transmission...
  9. Best speed for MPG performance?

Yes. I'm quite pleased with OBX wheels and tires. Got them for a good price, added some Schrader TPMS via America's Tires, and they perform quite nicely. Since 3.73 diff was the standard option for the 18s/32s... I figured they'd work without a hitch. They have done so. Never tried using...
  10. Best speed for MPG performance?

I have a base 2DR with V6, 3.73 diff and 10-speed auto. I also installed OBX 32" tires instead of the stock 30s. I have a high of about 24.5 (calculated) in north California freeway at about 62 MPH (66 calculated with the larger tires). At 64 on the speedo (calculated as 68.27 actual) I can...
  11. Finally got my 33" tires on base bronco. Recommendation for wheels?

I didn't know "rattle can red" was a color... but what do I know! I wonder if that is the same as "tractor red" or "fire truck red". I did just look and there is an ale called "Rattle Can Red". I have a feeling Bruno wasn't suggesting you paint the rims with that... although you might want to...
  12. Update: Rear Axle Tube - 1200 Miles Warranty Covered

The other thing I'd try... go to a different Ford dealer. Its not like you're required to go to the dealer you bought it from. Preferably... a dealer that has installed 37s on a unit in stock.
  13. 2-Door Hardtop Holder - one that I can drive under?

Well... if you want the cheap way (and can figure out the actual piece for the hardtop)... you might want to consider a Harbor Freight lift. Cheap enough, and one of the guys who bought the 880 lb version talked about using it to lift off his 2014 JL top.
  14. Finally got my 33" tires on base bronco. Recommendation for wheels?

If the Bronco rides OK on the 33s and steelies... just paint them white and go for the Heritage look, or as a previous post said "paint them red". I myself just bought a set of OBX tires/rims for my 2Dr Base. Rides quite nicely... and I'm good with the 32s. Still thinking of painting the...
  15. Update: Rear Axle Tube - 1200 Miles Warranty Covered

Has anybody seen (in print) what size tires are acceptable for the warranty? My dealer said no more than 10% over what was stock... but then that was just a local dealer's call. I'd like to see in writing what the boundaries are... especially since I've seen Ford dealers installing 37s...
  16. Windshield replacement

I think with Safelite as with many companies... it depends on how good the tech is. Trouble is (with Safelite)... you never know who you're going to get. Wish I new of a small shop locally with a good reputation (Sacramento area). Having said that... I've had good luck with Safelite, but...
  17. Competition: 2024 Tacoma official first look leak from Toyota website!

Well, I've owned 7 Toyotas over the years (including 2 FJ40s and one 4WD truck). I might consider trading my Bronco 2-Door in on a refined/new FJ40, but that truck just looks like another Tonka truck to me. Toyota designers are just followers.
  18. I put Toyo 285/75r17 tires on a stock 2.7L Outer Banks with 3.73 diff - AMA

You'll have to let us know how the Bronco works out with that combination and a 3.73 diff.
  19. I put Toyo 285/75r17 tires on a stock 2.7L Outer Banks with 3.73 diff - AMA

That is a skill that takes many hours of hard work... and guts. I am envious.
