Do you think that Ford would have spent the $s engineering the hub centric axles and wheels if they thought it was BS?
Have you even looked at the mating of the wheel/hub design?
Keep the BD. Itās extremely capable off-road.
You certainly donāt have to have a locking front axle and sway bar disconnect to enjoy the off-road experience.
I've just turned 5000 miles with my Kendras and absolutely love them. Off-road they are extremely capable and highway travel is as smooth as silk.
Highly recommend the 35 10.50 R/Ts! (plus, I love the utilitarian look)
Threads like this suckā¦..in more ways than one.
Lots of people telling OP what to do, but only a couple of replies from folks that actually have seen these situations and they arenāt dogging Fordā¦ā¦the rest are
Youāre correct. Itās really hard to find a nonstock wheel in a factory offset especially with the correct center bore.
Most want lots of poke.
The hubcentric adapter rings will work if theyāre machined correctlyā¦ā¦. I expect most are.
Iāll admit that Iām probably more particular than I should be...
I personally wonāt buy a wheel thatās not hubcentric for my Bronco or any other car/truck that came from the manufacturer with hubcentric wheelsā¦ā¦but thatās me. I suppose the adapter rings are ok if theyāre machined correctly.
There are lots of wheels available that have the correct center bore...
My hardtop has the factory insulationā¦ā¦.quiet enough for a roof that I can remove in 10 minutes.
While the MIC top has a few quirks, I still love it. Could it be better; of course it could but I still love it.
Itās a Bronco, not a fixed roof suv.
