I've had one windshield replaced in 3 years... by Safelite (OEM glass). The guy installed and calibrated the camera without issue... at my home.
However, I am paranoid of large trucks, and try to go into a line with at least one lane of separation between me and a truck. I also NEVER tailgate...
I haven't had any problems in 3+ years on my Base V6/auto. Granted I only have 15K on the odometer, but so far so good.
Of course... I've got that backup camera issue outstanding, but I've only seen my camera act up twice in 3 years.
Note: I'll bitch more if I start seeing cracks in the top...
Kind of makes me want to consider selling my 2022 2Dr... and there is nothing wrong with it yet.
But... here in California the taxes I'd have to pay for a new one would cost about as much as a new top on my 2022. So I guess I'll just wait and hope.
I think I would try and go to small-claims...
The 2.3 looks cleaner under-the-hood, and for awhile I wanted the 2.3, but my order was initially for a 2.7 and I stuck with that (in my 2Dr). I cannot complain. The 2.7 with the auto is the fastest 4WD I have ever driven, gets 22-24 MPG on the road, and has been completely reliable for 3 years.
2022 2Dr Base V6/auto with 32" OBX tires+rims... non-SAS. Tire pressure 37-38.
I get 22-24 MPG on the highway going 65-70. In town it drops down to about 18-20, but most of my driving is on the highway. Lower numbers in the winter, higher numbers in the summer... as expected. I live in...
I got the non-SAS Base (with V6/auto -- 2022) and added OBX tires/rims. I'm happy enough with it, but I wish I would have gotten SAS just for the heck of it, but you have to understand your MPG will go down by probably 1-3 MPG. I get 21-24 MPG with the V6 on crummy California gas. If you're...
I decided to cut the wire and use the smaller hole with a small cut in the stopper. I figured the diaphragm was in there for some purpose... although I'm not sure for what.
Did the cut, poked the wire through the hole, soldered it up, and put shrink wrap on each wire for the license plate...
Question... I see three wires in the 4WP license-plate light extension. I needed to cut the wires so I can thread them through that small hole (as opposed to enlarging the hole or just cutting off the connector.
).
I am going to use an ohm-meter to make sure I put them together correctly (BUT)...
I had Safelite come out and install new OEM glass. It came out just fine, and since I had requested OEM from the insurance co. it didn't cost me a penny more. Glass says something like Bronco Established in 1966 (or something like that), and they even recalibrated the camera (I know because I...
Aren't all Aux switches already fused? Why would I need an extra fuse if I'm still using the Aux switch for power?
In regard to insulating cracks, etc... I would assume that an insulated wire that was itself within an insulator... would be safe enough (although you did make me think about...
Well, after looking at those videos, and the amount of "stuff" I have to remove to get to that piddly little wire in back of the passenger pillar...
I'm thinking of wiring my own wires (thinking of a requisitioning standard outdoor extension cord that has a plastic outer-coating and snipping...
Anybody know how to get to that "E" wire? Is it behind the quarter panel, or where the jack is? If behind the rear pannel... any instructions on a 2 Dr (i.e. different from the 4-door Youtube instructions)?
Thanks!
Anybody got a good video (or explanation) on how to get the passenger rear panel off on a 2 DOOR?
It is time to hook up the rear lights I installed on the 4WP rear bumper.
Thanks!
I have the 2.7 Auto 2Dr with 32" tires and about 38 PSI in them. I consistently get 22-24 MPG on the highway. And that is using crappy California regular gas, going between 65-70 MPH. However, I have the 3.73 diff, and 32" tires.
Not sure what the in-town MPG is, but depending on the # of...
I see that with the bumper off. Just one little two foot wire to the license plate light. So as far as the Bronco goes... I won't need any "stock" wiring.
However, I bought a couple of cheap "Nilight" clear lights that I'm gonna put in those two square holes... so I'll have those lights for...
