  1. Rear locker or both?

Yeah... I think posi might have been a GM thing then inside GM -- a Pontiac thing for the muscle cars. But Yep... I am talking about standard limited-slip diff.
  2. Rear locker or both?

Good point. Actually, traction-control works like posi in many ways. I wonder if they would aid each other or fight each other. Would be nice if somebody on the forum chimed in who might have put a posi on their rig.
  3. Rear locker or both?

You obviously live in a tax-free state (not Taxifornia). If I sold my 2Dr here in California the taxes I'd pay would be about twice as much as a rear-posi for my 2Dr base for the same price 2Dr. I'd just get a rear posi installed ... and call it a day.
  4. Fixed running boards V.S. electric running boards. Your choice?

I had electric on my 2016 Wrangler, but fixed on my 2022 Bronco. I think it comes down to the height you desire. I found myself stepping over the electric ones (getting out), but the Bronco ones seem a bit tall to step up. If the electrics have adjustable height... I'd probably go with that...
  5. Anyone else concerned owning this car out of warranty ?

I used to never get extended warranties... but just opening up the hood on my Bronco V6 and seeing all the hoses, the engine, the twin turbos, and the transmission/xfer case buried underneath... I decided it was worth the extra dollars for the peace-of-mind. So far... so good.
  6. Anyone else concerned owning this car out of warranty ?

I have 17K on my late 22 2-door. I got an extended 7yr, but only 60,000 bumper to bumper from Ford. I plan on keeping it for a long time, but I'm already thinking about what to do after the warranty expires 3+ years from now. And... I've never had even one problem with it (outside of the...
  7. New recall (26V236)? POSSIBLE THAT THE TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT SPLINES OR TRANSFER CASE INPUT SHAFT SPLINES HAVE BECOME WORN OR DAMAGED

If this is "well documented"... what do I have to say to get the dealer to do something about this? I have this happening also.
  8. Dealership snapped my tie-rod!!!

Even though this wasn't the cause... this is EXACTLY the reason I'll never have a dealership pick up my Bronco for an oil change. You just never know what happens once it leaves you.
  9. Gas mileage question

I have a late 22 2Dr Base with V6/Auto. I've swapped out the steelies for OBX tires & rims... so my calculations for tire-size are factored in... i.e. MPG X 32/30. I get 22-24 MPG on crappy California gas. I have a 3.73 rear-end (so does my Bronco), and I get 22-24 MPG on the freeway @ 66-70...
  10. Major 10 speed transmission update for 2026, fact or fiction?

Thanks for clearing that up! I appreciate it.
  11. Major 10 speed transmission update for 2026, fact or fiction?

Well, now I have a question. When was that transmission fix put in again? I have a Bronco with a V6 and a 10-speed... Sept. 2022 build. What symptoms would I look for? Or are you saying the Bronco doesn't have a 10R80 transmission... so don't worry about it? Thanks!
  12. Question on Buying New 2025 Bronco with Higher Mileage

If they won't budge on price anymore... I'd try and shift gears and hit them up on an extended warranty at a super-discount. They have more room to play on those. For example -- like 70K and 7 years bumper-to-bumper for $1000. Tell them you're worried about that 300+ miles, but extending the...
  13. California 2022 2door Bronco 2.7L Sasquatch $35k, 9k miles

Wouldn't it just be easier to answer the question (which you still haven't)... instead of getting all superior and condescending? Never mind... Oh... and in regard to the SAS-Badge... like this one I found on EBay for $40?
  14. California 2022 2door Bronco 2.7L Sasquatch $35k, 9k miles

Does this have just the Sasquatch Tires, or the whole Sasquatch package?
  15. Curious.... Did Ford jack the prices on all parts?

I was amazed at the price of those little tabs that hold the interior plastic on are priced at. $10/each. I went to Amazon and got 24 for $10. Really... $10 per ittle screw/tab from Ford!
  16. Extended Warranty (Is it worth it?)

I would try and get your local dealer to write down that it includes the hardtop. If he won't agree to that... use it as a negotiation tactic and get the price down at least another $500. In addition, I wouldn't spend over $1500 for an extended plan that didn't cover you for another 4 years...
  17. No V-6 Two Doors??

    Dang... I drive a white school bus. (i.e. 2Dr).
  18. No V-6 Two Doors??

You folks all take this too seriously. You drive a 4-door? Great! You drive a 2-door? Great We all have preferences on just about everything in our lives. I have a white 2-door. I'm looking for a zebra-striped 2-door. Once I find one, I want to see if it rides as well as my white 2-door...
  19. No V-6 Two Doors??

2-Door Advantages: 1) Won't bottom-out as fast over uneven terrain. 2) Look a lot better. 3) Parallel park easier (mall crawler mode). 4) A yellow one won't be confused with a school bus.
  20. No V-6 Two Doors??

Nothing really against 4-doors. My daughter has a 4-Dr OBX V6. She will take that thing just about anywhere. I just had a lot of 2-doors... and like the short length (i.e. 2 FJ40s, 2 Wranglers, 2 Mitsu-Monteros, a red OJ Bronco, a Bronco II, and now my 2-door Bronco). They're all fun...
