Ford can definitely build our Broncos that have had VINS since April. They have changed priorities and keep pushing our builds back. It is completely within their control to clear out our orders before scheduling more before ours.

They’re unofficial delays. My dealer has been keeping tabs on my build weeks. My last Ford email communication was for 8/30 and obviously that has since passed. I assume the MIC reworks are causing the push backs.

Having been assigned a VIN early, seems like it screwed me. Probably the result of Ford trying to play chess with the scheduling to get the first editions produced. I mean really, how can they seriously let people who have had a VIN since April get pushed into November.

Seriously getting fed up with this crap. I’m on my twelfth build date. I had a build date of 9/23 and now it’s showing 11/15 build week. I’ve been 2 weeks away from build dates 5 times now and it gets pushed back weeks. Absolutely ridiculous.

It’s 100% true. I can show you my emails with my dealer. I also started a thread about this and confirmed another sales manager was able to change his VIN MIC to a soft top.

You could have switched to a soft top 2 weeks ago before they notified everyone about “no amending serialized orders anymore” I’ve had a VIN with an MIC since April and was able to successfully switch to a soft top 2 weeks ago. Have a build date of 9/20.

Seems unlikely that they’ll be able to fix all the issues and will run the risk of having another recall. Many hard tops are popping? Maybe some leaking? Doesn’t sound like it’s a singular issue, which they weren’t able to catch in preproduction last time. They know it will fix all the issues...

They probably ended it due to not locking in MSRP and come 2023 there are going to be a lot of angry reservation holders who preordered when their build was 45k and has now changed to 60k.

Interesting. My dealer got back to me and told me the build week showing is 9/20. I guess thats a good sign seeing as how it was 9/27 when I had a hardtop.

Did you see the communication today that serialized builds can no longer be changed? Maybe we caused that….

Any tips for checking order status daily without irritating my sales manager? Haha.
