Thanks for the response. I actually just ran it up the trim on the A pillar right into the engine bay. There are trim pieces that cover it all the way into the bay.
Not if you splice it in right before the 4” speaker connection.
Bi-amp mode would treat the entire circuit like a tweeter, so make sure to have that setting off.
Did you run the speaker line outs (kit 11.4) to another amp/powered sub? Make sure speaker wires aren’t touching ground. Have you tried turning the gain down on the amp?
I’m interested to know how much of a difference new 6.5s would make with the amp. I’m surprised how good the OEM sound now. Not earth-shaking low lows, but much more on par with premium audio from luxury car brands.
Just installed pnp kit 11-4 and wanted to share my experience. 11-4 is the kicker key 200.4 harness and 17’ speaker leads for adding a sub later. I had already replaced the four 4”s with infinity reference which made a huge improvement, but I still wanted a little more volume. I ordered an open...
I just want to follow up and say that IAG not only found and sent me the OEM Ford part that broke, but also sent me detailed instructions with pictures on how to replace it. This is above and beyond the level of support I would expect and I certainly appreciate and recommend them.
I appreciate the quick response and have replied to the email. I want emphasize to the community that I don’t think this would’ve occurred if the strut hadn’t busted through the provided band.
I feel obligated to share a warning for the instructions for the replacement parts. I placed the band around the strut just like detailed in the video. I unlatched the drivers side soft top lower frame latch, also just like the video instructed. The strut broke through the band, so I had to...
I’m pretty sure the seat sides are exposed to allow the side airbags to deploy. You’ll notice the other seat covers on the Ford accessories site also have exposed sides.
If you’re not wanting to add an amp, I recommend speakers that have a higher sensitivity like the Infinity Reference series which have a sensitivity of 93db.
The rear pods only receive mid and high range frequencies from the head unit. Bass is filtered out at the head unit because the 4” speakers just can’t handle bass at higher volume. The front 4” and 6.5” speakers receive the full signal from the head unit, but the 4” has an inline capacitor to...
4dr cactus BB manual softie with sig lights, rubber mats, cargo liner and rear locker. Came in under 39k. I replaced the four 4” speakers. I love how quickly I can go open top and without having to store panels. I didn’t want the added weight of 2.7 or all the body armor. The rubber floor liners...
