Those are good points, but I do respectfully disagree with the logic of covering the top as long as the original owner has the vehicle (or at least an extension of time/miles). There are problems with some of these tops right from the get-go. Off the assembly line. Sitting on dealer lots. In my...
I've seen that on brand-new Broncos. Webasto can't manufacture a top within specs as far as material thickness/amount OR color. Inferior product.
It will be interesting to see if my center section replacement is at least in the ballpark as far as color match (and NO, my existing top is...
Ok, what's the "honey?" Help me out here. Problem has existed since YEAR ONE and, as mentioned in many other threads, some tops have been replaced under warranty with bad tops. And some come off the line with problems (my dealer had 6 with MIC tops on the lot, 2 had cracks...brand new).
It...
Agreed on the better top. I would also pay the difference...will never happen.
As for lead times, it took a month to get a center section from my dealer. Taking it in next week for replacement. Oh, and someone on this forum told me to tell the dealer not to forget to put in for the headliner...
Hard to say. Only Ford knows lol
There are already a bunch of posts on this forum about MIC tops, but I figured pulling as many of them together in one place might help shed more light on the issue. What really gets me, personally, is that it's the damn roof! And not just some small...
I thought about that. But I wanted to keep this site open...if you don't have a failure now, you may in the future. This site is for all MIC top owners, not just the ones with failures.
Good to know—hopefully this site is also on Ford's radar for a little extra nudge. I really like this forum; the knowledge here has been super helpful since I got my Bronco.
Ford’s MIC tops are failing. Cracking, delaminating, warping — and they know it. But once your warranty’s up? You’re on your own.
That’s why I built this: https://fixourbroncotops.com
We’re not asking — we’re demanding Ford take accountability and cover these tops for the life of the original...
OK, I promised I would get the ball rolling:

I'll ask you to take a look and contribute. Your information will NOT be shared (I'm only capturing email addresses for total counts). I'll eventually start a new post in the forum to drive people here. Team effort on...
^^^ THIS.
1. We know that Ford knows theres a major problem with MIC tops.
2. Many have had them replaced under warranty (and many multiple replacements under warranty).
3. Every one of these will eventually fail. People that chime in and say "mine's good". Just wait...you'll be next.
4. Ford...
Good stuff. For my peeps in Arizona:
You can file a complaint about a product or service—such as deceptive advertising, faulty merchandise, or unfair business practices—you can do so through the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.

Clearly, Ford doesn't care about the quality of these MIC tops. They continue to let their supplier crank out defective tops, and replace bad with bad. Like I've said before, every one of these is a ticking time bomb and will eventually fail.
Looks like the game Ford wants to play with these is...
I have the exact same indentation on my clamshell, in the exact same spot. Been there since new…not saying it’s right. Standing by my inital post: these tops are shit. Doesn’t matter which version, year, etc. They fail from within, from the inside out. Poor design and execution.
Been 3 weeks...
The waves in your front panels, keep us posted on what your dealer has to say. Mine are showing the same, wasn’t like that when new. They were straight but now showing same as yours.
