  1. What is this tube and why is it dripping on inner fender?

I'm sorry, but you have to love a car whereby the recommendation from the dealership is to "MacGyver" an old pill bottle. I'm not trying to be sarcastic either. I love that answer (regardless if it's correct or not). In Mercedes land, it would be "need a new engine", after it sat at the...
  2. Does anyone have car tires on their Bronco?

If the tires are causing your back pain, then I agree with some others that perhaps this isn't the right car for you, as there are numerous other factors involved between the tires and your back (suspension, suspension geometry, Body on Frame design, etc). That said however, I used to run...
  3. I have a build in but was just offered a deal I don’t think I can refuse!

I’ve not read all of this, but the 2025 is absolutely a no-brainer. Well worth the forfeit on the deposit.
  4. 2027 Bronco adds Orange Fury color

That’s not called Orange Fury. It’s called Tangerine Grey. Perhaps they’ll bring back Forest Greey too.
  5. ASS(less)

Ah come on brother, just some harmless Internet forum chatter. Sorry if I hijacked it a bit (100% guilty as charged), but don’t bail out because of one post from an over caffeinated member who’s had little sleep this week! It’s all good amigo!

I'll do one better. This is 100% true. Amazon HQ2 - remember that feeding frenzy for trying to win it by several states? I knew exactly where it was going to go from the very start. I've financed several properties in that area, including some currently. Its location here in DC is known as a...
  7. ASS(less)

Yeah....my coffee may have been a little too strong that morning... But I'm serious about the data centers. I think they're just community listening devices now. How much friggin' data does it take to "google" the weather? China totally operates on the Social Credit Score system. Perfect...
  8. ASS(less)

It’s all about choice, and setting up the coolest toy many of us have ever owned before. These Broncos are like real-life Tonka toys that we grew up with. Stompers, and RC cars… plus, they’re just so damn cool looking that every little thing we do to them makes them even better! ASS doesn’t...
  9. Mall Crawler Truth

Along with Boston! But if the potholes don’t get cha’, the corrosion certainly will!
  10. Bronco after 100k miles

One of the aspects of the Bronco that helped me to decide to pay the new car tax instead of a used one, was the ability for the frame and body to easily be separated. When I saw that picture, I knew as long as the rest of the car was fine, I could just replace the engine once it wears out...
  11. ASS(less)

ASS(less), posted on VD (2/14). Don't think I didn't make the connection there...
  12. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

Given how simple it is to do, I'm going to be doing it every 25k miles on mine, which should align to about once every two years. Bought the PPE transmission pan for the drain plug function, and the rear diff FP cover for same reason. Might as well use it!
  13. ASS(less)

Manufacturers just need to update their software to allow the computer to remember the last setting. They don't need to eliminate the feature. If you want to use it, all the better and all good. But if you don't want to use it all the time, then you shouldn't have to be forced to turn it off all...
  14. ASS(less)

Now let's allow owners to leave it off. What's the point of a "switch" that never remembers what it was set at?
  15. ASS(less)

With Auto Start Stop (ASS) being retired via regulation rollback, I think Ford should immediately issue an OTA that allows the setting to remember it's last, no longer making "on" the default setting whenever you start the car. Make ASS optional!
  16. Dealer vs indie shop for oil change?

Guessing they hooked up the car to the computer as a fault check in general which probably triggered the download of whatever update, and they disconnected the computer prior to it being complete, is my SWAG (scientific wild ass guess).
  17. 2.3 or a 2.7

You can always upgrade the oil pan with an aftermarket steel version too? They're not terribly expensive. I upgraded the plastic transmission pan on mine (PPE) for the ability to have a drain plug. Wasn't terribly expensive or difficult to do.
  18. Dealer vs indie shop for oil change?

It's so easy to change the oil, seriously anyone with opposable thumbs and a 10mm socket can do it. I'd have no problem trusting the jiffy-skippy to do it. They can't put the impact wrench to the oil pan bolt and strip out it, because it's plastic. Only thing I would recommend is to pick up a...
  19. Revealed: New Bronco EV and Hybrid EREV w/ Lidar in China

The BYD SUV a few posts up that Doug D reviews - I can clearly see why the American automakers are concerned. That's a lot of vehicle for under $50k. But I've got an 18-month old, $1,500 GE washing machine 50 feet from me as I type this, that's on it's 4th motor due to failed bearings, 3rd...
  20. Cargo tub liner

I'm thinking about these cargo tub liner's for when I switch back to the ST soon (can't come fast enough, over this winter crap already)... Curious if anyone has them and if you like them? Any issues caused by them? Whistling, obstruction of seating for either top (I know you have to drill a...
