  1. Dusy-Ershim Trail Trip Aug 3-8, 2025

I understand your fond memories! Great mt. goat, that Jeep XJ! '87 Pioneer, 2-door stock with street tires took me through all kinds of stuff, from Borrego to Antelope Valley to Moab. No magazine articles to share though. And all during the pre-rubber duck days when a wave was a...
  2. My First Rubber Duck?

Today, I saw one place the overflow of ducks are ending up: a Dodge sedan (of some sort with the ram on the front grill) had a double row of them on the dash. Dodge Ram is going duckish!
  3. Dusy-Ershim Trail Trip Aug 3-8, 2025

Fan-"F"-ing-Tastic! Thank you for keeping this part of the Bronco envelope pushed, for people like me! This photo of yours cracked me up; the gate, for me, might as well have been closed. I'm not quite ready to damage my shiny princess. Lotsa cool geology on that trip too.
  4. Automatic transmission manual shifting in D

From someone used to older automobiles: I hadn't tried the +/- buttons on my AT handle while in D until recently -- tried them on some hilly roads, and it almost makes the Bronco seem like a new model year Badlands with another gizmo. 🛸 Learning what this Bronco has to offer a little more...
  5. 1 Month Overview Ownership/4yrs of viewing content about complaints/issues

3 items for a list of bad-things-study is a pretty short list from which to make any overall judgement. I guess your decision is boiling down to these three things. I spent almost a year lurking here, and researching other sources, before deciding to wait until after 2024 and jump in for the...
  6. Talk Me Off The Ledge.... 😲

ya mean the little sasquatch figure down in the lower area of the Badlands stuff on the "badge"? I'm going to paint mine bright green so it stands out. not really.
  7. 5,000 mile / 15 day camp trip from Austin to the Redwoods, other national parks (photos and report)

So jealous. Sounds like what I used to do in my Jeep Cherokee looooonggg ago, and it usually included Tahoe and Valley of Fire as well!! thank you so much for the re-inspiration!
  8. Wildest Adventure Ever

What was this thread about? I've got to remind the dealer to not wash mine when I bring it in for an early oil change next week. (scratchy brushes on their hose-wands). I've only got two and a-half coats of wax on mine 🤪, Carnauba all over with ceramic hybrid on the lower door and quarter...
  9. Why do we hate Auto Start/Stop so much?

I hate it because every time I forget to turn it off and it activates at an intersection, I wonder "what the hell is going wrong with my engine??!!!" :whew: I'll leave it activated whenever I travel into Canada.
  10. EASTER EGG ?

'just noticed mine too, due to OP's post. 2025 Badlands Sas, but the flag looks larger. Multiple vendors? Now I have to find that old thread that revealed/inquired about uneven gaps between the rear bumper and the body panels -- I've just noticed a larger gap difference on my FRONT bumper...
  11. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

The only way I knew was from a notice in a fancy advertisement type "magazine" Snohomish mails out. How many more events or meet-ups are we missing? It was not advertised much, but more crowded and attended than I had expected! Maybe I'll see ya there next year.
  12. Why do Jeep owners hate us??

This is a weird thread.... so why did I read the whole freaking thing??! either read these things, or pay some bills. oh. I believe most of the people who drive like angry Jeeps would drive the same in any car.
  13. Will the new-for-2026 A-pillar grab handle be retrofitable ?

Is this some guy going through prep for a colonoscopy?
  14. Talk Me Off The Ledge.... 😲

Go for the Sasquatch and have some room to grow without modifying! It may be another year before I use even most of the capabilities of the Sasquatch on my Badlands, but every time I drive it, even on boring forest roads, I am glad I have them and not wishing, "dang, I should've". The few...
  15. Rallycross in a Bronco!?!

and Why have I not known of this before? This is going onto my list of places to visit and things to do! thanks for the post!
  16. Pics of my 'new' garage

Great job clearing out your garage for the Bronco! I understand the effort you put into that project. I was in similar situation. Had to donate, find new storage places, or toss stuff to fit my Badlands Sas 2-door into my garage, replacing a 2003 Tacoma TRD. The only photo I have, is...
  17. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Not much this weekend -- stopped by a local 4x4 show, with some vendors attending (Snohomish, WA if anyone recognizes the town). This was the only personal Bronco on "display" (the one other Bronco on display was a 2022 fancy build using several company sponsors). Good old Bronco in the photo...
  18. Long Term Drivers’s Seat Wear

To those of you who use low $$ solutions, I applaud and thank you very much !! 👍👍👍 My Bronco is about 1/3 of my retirement savings. sigh. I've just put in a temporary pre-emptive (OCD?), crack protection solution for my seat. Strips of silicone non-stick bake mat. (this, until I can find...
  19. Must Haves for the Trail?

Hahaha, yeah, I did leave out important details. Short pile, aged to be slippery, and pink color (changed from beige to pink on the roll ends while being stored in a hot attic for a few years). pink? maybe I should replace the carpet with traction boards..... Oh, I started keeping them in an...
  20. My First Rubber Duck?

Getting a little duck is better than having a cat pee on your wheels. More corrosive than most fluids from a lab!
