I really just want to know what trim levels/packages will be available, and then everything about the drivetrain. Transfer case, differentials, transmission, engine. Need specs for all that.
Yeah I'm really hoping that even if there isn't a fully fixed roof option, there's a full one piece hardtop. I'm quite confident I'll never use a removable roof, so the less potential for squeaks, rattles, and leaks, the better. I'm planning on keeping this vehicle for a long time and in well...
This is the boat I'm in too. Need some detailed specs on different trim levels so I can figure out what I'll need to be waiting for the aftermarket to have available before I buy. It's still possible that Ford will come out with exactly what I want but I'm not expecting it.
I'm not 100% sure about that. I think you're probably right that it won't roll down, but looking at the pic:
The tailgate could fit a window the size of the rear side windows in it I'm pretty sure. It's not as short as it first looks, the angle of the photo and the light color makes it look...
I can’t see why it wouldn’t be able to. As you said, current Ford trucks can and the Wrangler can, so it would be pretty dumb for the Bronco to not have that capability
Yeah that would be ideal. The only other place I can think is sitting on top of the bumper in the bottom of the grill, it looks like there is a bit of an inset spot there. That's prime lightbar space though, so over the winch opening would be better.
I really wish I didn't need a front plate...
So where does everyone think the front plate will mount on here? If the hole in the middle of the front bumper is for a winch, they can't put it there like a wrangler, and it looks like everything else is grill or lights so I'm not sure where else it could go.
Ford would be stupid NOT to offer a 2dr Raptor version if they offer a 4dr Raptor version. If you've already done the R&D for the chassis why wouldn't you give that option? Same story for the bigger motor. The only powertrain difference between the two will be a shorter driveshaft going to the...
Yep. I'm not thrilled with these ones, though in a contrasting color to the body they don't look quite as bad as the 2 door broncokong pic did to me. Hopefully there are some other options, and a version with more flare to the metal part of the fender would be ideal.
I hope that means we get a proper 'Baja' high speed version too, per Ford themselves that's an important part of their history. Lockers are all well and good for those that want them, I want good shocks and limited slip diffs.
Otherwise, I'm sure the aftermarket will provide in time.
In a year the thing will have only been available for a few months. Let's check in around 2022, lots of people rightly going to be waiting 6-12 months to see if there are any initial bugs to be worked out
Definitely liking the size of the 2 door. Don't like the sand color with the body color roof, that looks a bit weird, or maybe it's the super tinted windows.
Either way, liking what I'm seeing so far. Now give us some specs!
Yeah this one looks more off than the 4 door did. No rear trailing arm that I can see for one thing. Maybe just a body mockup?
Regardless...this is gonna be what it looks like, methinks.
EDIT:
Ah, that explains it
