I can't say I agree. Two things: -2" of wheelbase doesn't come close to telling the whole story for size. The overhangs of the Sport may be larger, and it's certainly taller with a roomier cargo area. It may also have a larger wheel/tire package which negates some of the wheelbase difference...

My Pajero Evo tops out around 110 (180km/h), and today that's still the top speed of Dakar Rally racers. I can't see ever needing more than that in the Bronco

I certainly don't see it coming at launch. If the Bronco does very well otherwise I could see it down the road in a few years after release.

Interesting, thanks for the explanation. If you are already driving at high rpm, say 5000, and drag the brake what happens? Does the throttle cut abruptly until it gets back down below the lower rev limit?

Even with a manual transmission you'd still have a drive by wire throttle, so they could program in that if the brake is pressed and the vehicle is in gear, the gas won't open the throttle. I hope they don't, but they could. One of those idiot proofing things that is good to prevent the general...
