This will be my DD, though I bike to work on sunny days (this will get rain and snow duty). There are lots of rental cabins and back roads to camp on in my neck of the PNW. I plan to continue lugging the SO and dogs around to places like that, although we'll spend more time exploring a given...
I haven't received an email survey yet. Reserved early August. I think my comms settings would allow for survey to be sent. I've received Bronco-related emails from Ford in the past, at least.
If I were you, I'd go bronco. Personally, if I bought something else at this point, I'd still end up with a bronco as soon as I could lay my mitts on one.
That being said, an older jeep would be fine... in addtion. Haha . Something with an I6 or old AMC v8 would be fun to tool around on, and...
Really, I'll probably never do anything to change it. I'll be happy enough to have a sick new car, that I imagine a thing like matching interior color to paint will fall by the wayside pretty quickly.
Yeah, I'm pretty happy about the BD pricing. I'm probably not going squach, so I'm leaning...
Same. It's going to take me a while to get over the blue trim combo w/ orange exterior. Alas, it is the lowest cost entry point to the adv. xfer so far as I can tell. Still debating whether it's worth upgrading just to get myself out of that interior trim color combo...
I'd go BD just to have access to the advanced transfer case. Plus, who doesn't like the option of having orange  Sounds like you'd be upgrading tires (eventually) if you went the BB route, starting w/the right set of 5 tires could eat up that $500 lead you mention in the original post...
Thanks! @Scohin
I'd really like to know if I can buy a non-samsquach Big Bend and still be able to add the advanced transfer case. Currently this isn't supported in B&P.
I'd also like hard measurements on 2-dr cargo area length with the seats folded down. A few folks have said it's 4-ish...
This is SUCH a better idea than 3d printing a garage door opener bracket to mount to the picatinny rail on the dash (was throwing around that idea since in not going lux). Following this thread ???
Basically all I'm waiting for now is to see if I end up being able to build a non-sas BB with the advanced transfer case. Currently that's not a thing, so I may end up doing BB/sas, which looks cool af, or save a few bucks and bump up to a non-sas BD.
I'm also ruminating on the stock vs. aftermarket slider. On my FJ cruiser, I had some really neat ones from Metal Tech 4x4 that doubled as a step and bolted to the frame. I'd really like to run something similar now. I believe there were 8 beefy pre-threaded mounting points on the FJ frame, and...
Thanks for the update, it's good to see what their response is, even if it's a bit disappointing - sounds like they aren't keeping themselves as informed as one would hope. Not being on top of dates has been my experience there, too, albeit with a different sales associate. Maybe I'll call my...
Ikd about you, but I don't find color matched fenders on obx all that appealing... that, and it seems like you're getting a lot more with bb squach for $200 more ?‍♀️
Good first post!
TL;DR, I'm giving up lots of cash and a lot of the features I have in my higher-spec outback :)
I'll be trading by '18 outback 3.6r touring. Leather, adaptive cruise, nice little things like heated auto dimming side mirrors, quiet, good in snow, decent road manners.... I...
I might have gotten more into things now that B&P released. There were a few perks (maybe glitches?) that dropped the cost from what I was expecting from the survey (cost of 27EB + auto, cost of AOD on some models). Oddly, the interior colors steered me into the model line I was hoping to go...
So far, I've generally gone with deadening + roof rails + 27EB + Auto + Mid + CO (when avail). I also tried with and without sassy.
I like this chunky BB:
I priced this out for BB, BD, BL. I found a few things that were interesting to me, maybe they were glitches:
BB, you must have sas in...
