If you already have a bunch of CDs you like, get a FiiO X1 Gen 2. You can convert all your CDs to lossless FLAC, and the player has a "car mode" so it automatically turns on when you start the car and off after a few minutes when there's no power. Set to random and it works just like a jukebox...
I always take everything off to make polishing and waxing easier. Sometimes I have stickers on the windows, preferably inside mount to make glass cleaning easier, but that's about it.
I really like the MIC top too, but agree only if dark. Too light is no good, but I definitely prefer a dark version vs. the painted black. For some reason the painted black looks more like a regular car to me, e.g. the Volvo XC40. Not a bad look, but not as rugged at least to my eye.
Awesome thank you. I’m a Ford neophyte, this will be my first one. $100 ea worst case, three of those plus four Blizzaks probably $1k all-in. Not bad at all.
Car covers outside are worse than nothing at all. Inside for longer term storage, keep dust off fine. Outdoors unless the car is perfectly clean when covered and there is no wind, all the cover does is grind dust and dirt into your paint.
PSA to anyone purchasing out of state... if your state requires a safety and / or emissions annual inspection your selling dealer should credit you for the cost e.g. $100 or whatever it is.
Anyone know what the stock 17x7.5 BD steelies will cost per wheel? I'd like to have 8 in total, the 5 that come with the truck then 3 additional so I can have a dedicated winter set. If silly money I'd reconsider but that seems like the most cost-effective option. Not looking to get fancy here...
I may have the most boring plans... BD w/ steelies I am going to get 3 more then use those plus the spare for a set of Blizzak DMV2 winter tires. I'll have an extra General ATX floating around, not a big deal, then just keep one of the off season wheels and tires on the rear as a spare.
Oh that's good to know, thanks! I haven't converted yet or dug into the order guide in great detail, waiting on a 2022 as of now. I actually need the steps anyway, so didn't pay too much attention one way or the other. I'll probably do the same thing as you and try to trade someone.
My dealer will have strict instructions not to do any pre-delivery cleaning. I want the plastic wrap still on the car. I'll remove, polish as needed and do a full buff and ceramic.
One added benefit of MIC top... nothing that I need to detail is too high for me to reach!
