I actually do not like the Technic kits at all. I have the F40 and the James Bond Aston and both actually look like the cars, not weird car exoskeletons.

The one you really want is an RS4 Avant... ditch the Haldex FWD BS architecture that plagues the 3. If BMW brought the M3 wagon here I'd skip the Bronco, sell a car or two and consolidate down to that for everyday duties.

If there were any concrete info on a new FJ I'd seriously consider holding off to see how that turns out. This is an extra / purely utilitarian car for me so Toyota build quality and longevity would be hugely appealing.

I cannot wait for this to come out. Some of the Bronco designers built a Lego model, have to think an official kit is in the works. There's also an old Zoolander Bronco Hot Wheels, worth snagging that as well.

Whether or not it's worth the money is entirely up to you. I would point out though that it's not a month to get your wheel back. You'd have to confirm with the vendor but in my experience it was more like 10 days from leaving my possession to having it back in-hand.

You ever take a car w/ perforated leather wheel to the beach? I am concerned with sand getting in there. I really like the feel of the perforated on the M235 wheel I posted above, but maintenance on the Bronco concerns me. Was thinking just smooth black leather to be safe.

BEFORE YOU REMOVE YOUR ORIGINAL BADGE... Use some painters tape to outline it and mark its location. When you go to install the new one - assuming no alignment tabs - you will get it exactly right the first time.

What I have done in the past is send them a small piece with the color e.g. on my BMW I sent Don my e-brake that had the red I wanted. For the Bronco I'm just going to send him my steering wheel and one of the grab handles with the blue I want matched.

Ha, that's funny. I actually got in touch with them originally to redo my M235 steering wheel to make it more like my E46. It has perforated sides then I went extra for the red stripe. Here's that BMW wheel for reference, the materials and workmanship are much nicer than factory.

Check with them to be sure but I am fairly certain yes. At least on my BMW the heat remained and works perfectly fine. I cannot speak to the differences between the two though (maybe the tech is different I have no idea).

I find this horribly confusing as well. If I pay the $695 I get a full three years of live traffic is that right? Otherwise it's just dumb navigation where I have maps but no traffic info? BMW charges $50 annually for the live traffic, the Ford subscription seems very expensive.
