  1. Will they make a flush light bar for over the windshield????

Just throwing out FWIW, theres a light bar for the JL that sits inside the windshield, at the top. I believe it seals to the windshield so supposedly doesn't shine inside the JL. Dont know how good it works. Some company might make something similar for the Bronco.
  2. V8 HEMI 392 Jeep Wrangler production model announcement teaser. Will Ford answer with V8 Bronco?

I like that 392, the 2nd video is funny, showing the wild horses (broncos) running away. If they offer it with the regular hard top and regular doors, not those half door things, I could see it instead of a Bronco.
  3. Bronco Aftermarket Wheels | what options do you want?

18"x7" or maybe 18"x7.5" for OB stock size 32" tires, same offset as stock, probably all black (gloss probably best), and lightweight. Simple easy to clean design. Almost all aftermarket wheels are too wide and too heavy for 245 or 255 tires. Not everyone wants wide tires.
  4. I love ford

Plug in hybrid Bronco I might go for, all electric for an off road vehicle; no. Theres a recent test of the Rivian truck off road, I guess it did good, but there was a shipping container sized back up thing to keep it charged up. IIRC the off road range of the truck was around 120 miles. Sorry...
  5. Cactus Gray (Bronco) vs Sting Gray (Jeep Grand Cherokee)

Thank you very much OP great job.
  6. RESALE VALUE AT 5 YRS...WHERE DO YOU THINK WE WILL COME IN

Good research OP. I'd guess the Bronco will be similar to the Wrangler. For the guys that are thinking the Bronco is too expensive, give it a year or two and get a relative bargain on a used one.
  7. Is anyone else considering a Bronco that is overkill for your daily use...but looks so cool you want to buy it anyway?

Driving in saltwater? Isn't the Bronco going to be totally trashed after a couple times? Might buy an aluminum fishing boat and keep the Bronco on higher ground.
  8. Is anyone else considering a Bronco that is overkill for your daily use...but looks so cool you want to buy it anyway?

No sasquatch for me, price not an issue, the sasquatch package will be better in very difficult off-roading, but almost certainly worse everywhere else. Probably poorer acceleration, braking, and handling compared to the non-sasqautch. Going from the bay area, I've got to go on a lot of curvy...
  9. Reverse Lights

Personally I think round aftermarket lights, white tops, and large tires and lifts look 1970's and ridiculous, to each his own. FWIW, I live in the bay area, at night there's always some lights on. I just got back from a short trip to the Sierra mountains, I forgot how dark it is with zero...
  10. Fender Hooks Delete

Yes, I'd like an option to delete or replace those hood tie downs with just a simple flush surface, preferably the same color as the Bronco body color.
  11. Reverse Lights

Update: something like the Denali "DRL visibility pods" might work, maybe 2 of them mounted horizontally on the bumper in the middle under the spare. They're about 4 1/2" long x 1" high x 1/2" thick. Not the best, but they should be easy to surface mount, about $50 each. not too bad to replace...
  12. Land Rover Defender 110 vs Bronco Black Diamond

Great post OP. The Defender has quite an advantage in tow capacity, but their reputation for unreliability would keep me away. I also would like to get back into an American made vehicle. Not sold on the Bronco yet but it's a good possibility.
  13. Any chance the tow capacity gets increased?

I'm by no means an expert, many on here have more experience than me. But my experience is that some very high quality shocks; all four, will help with vehicle stability with towing. Also aftermarket anti-sway bars, also help with vehicle stability. To help with the back end sagging while...
  14. Anyone look at the New Land Rover Defender ????

As long as it keeps running; absolutely. The story the above photo is from noted several problems with a brand new Defender.
  15. Problems with newer Wranglers?

That's not correct. "Peeps" are still having issues with JL steering today, even with the latest steering box. Check out a certain JL forum, look under "Issues, Repairs, Warranty, TSB, Recalls", or "Suspension, Steering, Chassis". Hundreds of posts dedicated to the current problem.
  16. Problems with newer Wranglers?

I drove an 11' JKUR for 6 years, mostly stock, had a few different problems. Late last year I rented a new JL 4 door for a couple days after flying into L.A., the steering was so bad, I decided right then to not buy a JL. It might have been an abused rental vehicle, so not representative, but it...
  17. Reverse Lights

On my Tacoma I have 2 rigid ignite lights installed in the rear bumper, wired so they come on with the regular back up lights, they are awesome. Haven't seen a good way to do that on the new Bronco. The rear bumper doesn't look to have enough room to the left of the license plate to recess mount...
  18. Fans of light bars. Questions

I dont own a Rigid adapt light bar yet, but from what I've looked into, they can be set to vary the light pattern based on the speed of the vehicle, wide angle at low speeds, narrow beam at high speeds, automatically. Pricey, but I'm not aware of another light bar that can do that. Also, I'd...
  19. Anyone look at the New Land Rover Defender ????

Theres a Defender 110 SE review in the Nov. C&D. I like the 8200lb tow capacity, but the as tested price is $82k, weighs 5773lbs, rolling start 5-60 in 7 seconds. I think a non-sasqautch 4 door OB Bronco 2.7 with some engine mods will be lighter and faster, and much more reliable. Only real...
  20. Post your build! Images and specs only

Waiting to hear owner reports before I decide whether to get a Bronco, but if I do, maybe something like this: Photoshopped tires to show approximate 31.7" size, which is the size tires I prefer, move antenna, remove those front hood things, black ford logo, remove OB logos, brown seats, lux...
