While at it. Tape bottom of hole. Insert a bent wire and carve out some of the paper core. Fill with 2 part liquid epoxy and redrill when cured. Will add strength and help seal from water intrusion.

I would get enough channels to do what you have now and a sub. Along with minimum of 2ch pre outputs for future expansion. Maybe 4 preouts. Example 6 ch plus 2 for sub now(8). But if you wanted a larger sub amp later and you could use the current sub channels to go full active on the dash...
