I was comparing anticipated long term reliability (not a huge data set at this point) of the Bronco to the previous gen 4Runner. I suppose I could compare to the Transit Connect it replaced, which would be a Ford-Ford comparison, but would certainly cast the Bronco in a more favorable light...
This!
I have a set of Falken Wildpeak MTās and a set of Toyo AT3. Thought Iād need the Toyos for winter driving. Put them on one season but skipped it this past winter. No need for the ATās. Canāt recommend the Falkens enough.
You can get away with a lot in a 2 door with a small utility trailer.
Hard to recommend a Bronco from a build quality/long term reliability standpoint. Neither are looking great from my experience and from what Iāve heard āoff the recordā from some service departments Iāve been to.
Bought a...
Bumping an old thread to avoid creating a new one.
I have a base 2dr, 2.3L with the added weight of a front winch/mount, and OEM skid plates. Any shots in the dark which front springs (which 6G trim?) would be a good swap to level it out a bit? It makes more sense to me to swap heavier springs...
Agreed. Iād like the KO3 in that size. But Iāve been looking at switching to a set of black diamond alloy wheels (17ā) when my Falken M/Ts are spent. That would give me the option to stick with the 255/80 or maybe a 35āx10.5ā like Kenda offersā¦
Many here are mounting >10ā wide tires on the base steelies. 285/75r16 are just under 33ā and a little over 11ā wide.
265/75r16 (31.6āx10.4ā) is also a little taller and wider than the stock tires on the base.
the aforementioned 235/85r16 (31.7āx9.3ā) are the approx. the same height as the...
Iām so skittish Iāve removed trail/ORV permit stickers from the rear window before taking my Bronco in for warranty repairs. Luckily(?) it has just been Fordās undeniably poor design/QC to blame for the issues Iāve hadā¦
Itās funny to watch all these Amazon and Wal Mart shoppers š claim that āeverybody wants to buy Americanā as if the option hasnāt already existed.
Making monthly payments to āthat guyā feels like a good way to hasten the descent toward a necessity for off-grid comms. But in that scenario, heās the last person Iād want to have knowing where Iām atā¦
Itās hard for me to advise getting rid of the 4Runner. Not sure of the mileage but Iād bet it will still be running at the point you start worrying your bronco wonāt make the 100 mile round trip.
I donāt mean to sound like a Toyota fanboy, but I sort of backed my way into it when we got my...
Thanks. From SE MI but my wife and I are originally from Mid MI and travel further north often. Pic I shared was from the UP in February.
I understand that 4A is a draw of the higher trims. But Iāve found that 4-Hi is only really needed occasionally. Modern traction control in 2-Hi is really...
Iām happy with my ā23 base, which I got at the 2021 price via price protection for early order-holders. As @Blackcat said, it was a steal at that price. I flirted with switching my order to a black diamond while I was waiting for my build, but stuck with the base.
Added 33ā M/T tires the day it...
So long as weāre dreaming, can I just get a Toyota 4.0L V6 swapped into my 2door base? In my dreams, I sidestep Fordās reliability issues completely.
Spring break in Red River Gorge. Bronco in the shop this week for a warranty repair (rear window defroster wire) and an oil change, so we took the 4Runner.
Loaded up the family and headed to Spaas Creek Road. With the stock Dunlop Grandtrek tires aired down to 25psi, we took it nice and easy...
Gonna be some late nights/early mornings this weekend! Was stoked to see Sainz doing so well and Ferrari (LeClerc) at the top in FP2.
Also, observation: Lawson answers the question āwhat if Verstappen were just as big of an a**hole, but had 12% of the talent?ā Already canāt stand that guy and...
