Out of all the tie rods I’ve seen broken online, all of them were doing off-road activities within the boundaries of what the Badlands was designed for. Zero of them were desert racing. What the Badlands needs is a visit from Ford’s new quality control czar.

If you are short, it will likely help, but the steps are way too high for most people. It’s now cumbersome to get in and out of either row of seats; easier to step directly into the truck without using side steps - unfortunately, these are also so wide that you can’t easily just step over them...

If you want a hard top before winter, you have no other option than to pay up front and hope they actually do what they say.

It is, to the contrary, quite a brainer. The tie rods give at a certain point so as to avoid damaging connected components (namely the steering rack); you’d much rather have a broken tie rod than a stripped steering rack. If the rods don’t break, the extra torque will end up doing just that...

Did Ford ask you to pay for your Bronco seven years ago while they were developing it? I would feel easier about this if ADV would at least post some cellphone pics or a video.

Because it’s a douchy thing to do and should be called out anyway. Some people do need a vehicle. Everything is marked up, not just the Bronco. It’s called taking advantage of people.

There was talk of someone stripping their rack after a break not long ago, so I’m kind of thinking the rack is going to break either way.

Did your dealer have any luck working on this yesterday? What did they conclude with the programming? Is it possible to use the old module?

The lack of communication from @ADV Fiberglass is pretty unnerving. “Soon” only works for so long. Not feeling the energy when there’s no even a prototype.

I believe it only presents with the lux package. I happen to have a Badlands and lux.

I’m going to need to see some actual prototype photos in the next few weeks, or I’ll be disputing the charge to my credit card as fraud. Hope @ADV Fiberglass is for real, but I’m not giving them free money. They need to prove they have a viable product.
