Who told you this? 2022 allocation is going to have different attributes than 2021. If one dealer in the country had 10k reservations, Ford isn't going to fill all those before 3000 other dealers get Broncos too(especially 2022 models.) Not the way it's going to work.
Not sure why some want to label me an agitator. I'm only sharing rumors that have come down to us(the dealer) from Ford. Like I said, they can change their mind on plenty of things. I've only shared information that we've heard thus far. Believe it, don't believe it... doesn't matter to me...
I told someone here last week what I'd heard and they responded back with some info about the facility making the tops having delays getting their plant built. I can't remember where the plant was located. Don't know why the Sasquatch could be limited. Wheels more than likely if I had to guess...
I'm sure this won't be a popular answer(seem some people just don't like anything I write), but plan participation is completely up to the dealer. A dealer decides if they want to sell something under plan pricing/rules.
We hear stuff from Ford all the time. Sometimes they change their mind on things. They tell us what they think one month, and it's different the next month. Nothing is set in stone with OEM's...ever. Everything is fluid, especially a new model launch like this. I almost expect it.
I have not heard about dealer switching deadline changing and frankly don't see how it would happen once B&P goes live. Once the reservation is in Ford's system, and order bank goes live, we can convert the reservation into an order, like the Bronco Sport is done now. You would have no way of...
They've told the dealers the penalties already, but they haven't told the %, but I know what it is. There's some room in there for the dealers as they couldn't make it 100% usage to allow for unforeseen circumstances. I'd buy it and then either sell it on Autotrader, or sell it back to a dealer...
Find a dealer who would sell it to you and buy it back from you with a fee to you. That wouldn't be hard to do at all. Even having to pay your outrageous sales tax in TN, it would still bring more than the amounts they'd have to incur.
I don't take it as an attack. I'm not doing that with employees. Simply stated how to do it.....big difference.
I do have a similar plan laid out with normal reservation holders to be able to convert 100% of my reservations though. I'm not going to miss any allocation.
He could be referring to the mannequin program where we're going to have a couple early for demo/test drives.
Or he could simply be ordering some for the dealership and using them for whatever purpose they please. We have plenty of parts trucks, rollbacks, delivery trucks, etc...that we own...
I have all of mine by the minute since they flowed from Ford's system into our database as an actual internet lead. If your dealer has any kind of modern CRM, then they would have that information. Salespeople may not have it, but management for sure has it.
I think it's going to be a big part of timing. I posted in the general section earlier that we were told today that the hard top is going to be one of the biggest constraints. That was not good news.
