If you live in a state with no sales tax(Montana) then I'd just put in a 2nd reservation under the same email, take delivery of the 1st Bronco, sell it and make some money, and wait for my deal on the 2022 at $2k off.
I'm sorry if I said something offensive. I simply said we wish things would have been done normally and there wouldn't be all this confusion, for both consumers and dealers. If that had happened, you still would have had free choice to do business with whomever wou chose that A) had the...
From a dealers perspective, we would much prefer things to have been done normally. There would have been much less confusion and the free market would have taken care of pricing.
I think once dealers were told their customers could actually change their reservations, the whole game changed. I don't think it was right to allow that. Then the dealers responded. I'm not on dealer council so no, I was not involved but knew it was coming. That's why I watched all the info...
I don't want anyone switching to my dealership. We have plenty of reservations already and I don't think it's appropriate to try and pirate anyone's order. I just want everyone to be prepared based on information given today.
I think it would do everyone some good if they just replaced "allocations" with "number of 2021 Broncos a dealer will receive...total"
I promise allocation in this sense is not dealer stock after reservations/orders are filled. Don't know who said that, doesn't matter, but it's not the case...
8th largest Ford dealer in the US. I just want everyone to understand that orders are not going to be filled 100% by reservation date. There is a formula given to dealers today explaining how 2021 Broncos are going to be allocated.
True. The only other piece I think people are missing is in the projections. There's currently 165,000 reservations. Ford expects to convert 75% of those into orders, so approximately 123,000. They've stated they're expecting to build 80,000 in MY 2021. I think even customers with early orders...
I wouldn't say 25% is a small number. I was surprised it was that high. And 25% for dealer's national ranking. That part is easy to look at. 50% is a huge number for them to use as guidelines.
