My window sticker just became active! As my wife said, "This is about to get REAL!" Build date of next Friday... Now if only I knew with some degree of certainty when it would ship...
McMinnville area.
I was hoping for specific suggestions. It's hard nosing around online to get all the info you need...water availability on the backpacking trail, difficulty of offroad portion, etc...
Thanks for the response.
Good point. My intent was to say the Bronco is more Lotus--a purpose-built machine--than BMW--a luxury brand. Yet both are more expensive than a Honda Civic.
You're not paying for finish, you're paying for capability and experience. Think Lotus instead of BMW.
I spend hours a day in vehicles. The finish of the dash doesn't plague me. I honestly couldn't tell you how hollow the dash is in my Titan.
I live in the Southeast (Middle TN). My kids and I are just getting into overnight backpacking. The perfect excursion once the Bronco comes would be a moderate offroading trail to a trailhead for a 3-5 mile backpack to a primitive campsite. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations in the...
Mostly good nostalgia peddling here. But some of the stuff was mixed up decade-wise. The 3000GT was a 90's car all the way. It and its cousin the Dodge Stealth were my dream cars in HS--circa 92-96.
Also, grunge didn't blow up until Nirvana's Nevermind in '91. And while Soundgarden was...
Listen to the "Bring Back Bronco" podcast series in its entirety. Not only an interesting primer for your ownership of a Bronco, but also an in-depth answer to your question. It was tracking with the larger SUV push of the Blazer. Based on the Ford full-size truck platform, the 80's and 90's...
I've had around 5 new cars in my life, and I've gracefully honored the "break-in" period exactly 0 times. Not wise I'm sure, but I drove an S-10 and a CR-V 200,000+ and I've got a 2017 TItan XD at 70,000. So far...no problems. <knocks on the nearest wooden surface>
Just saw this post. Dead serious: If I could give you my build I would. What an amazing person and story. Milk these experiences for all they're worth...you deserve them.
Yep on both counts. A truer thread has never existed than this one: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/have-i-become-the-vegan-cross-fitter.17666/#post-641306
I would assume that means your build date is confirmed--but I'm no expert. If only we had a camera feed to watch our Broncos being built. I would get even less done today than I already am...
Just a reminder for those lucky ones on here that have a VIN: If you call your dealer or get through to Ford Customer Service, they can tell you your build DAY. I emailed my dealer to confirm my week had not been moved, and he informed me I'm set for a build day of June 25. Cactus Gray BB...
So I'm mostly suspension illiterate. Am I correct, though, in taking from this that one could order, say, the "Special" shocks/springs and have the ride height of a non-squatch Badlands on a Big Bend?
