There are companies that make safe remote start modules for manuals, and I will hopefully installing one on my bronco eventually.
These aftermarket modules are programmed to watch for a sequence of events that tells the computer that the operator is out of the vehicle and it is neutral, for...
The subject says it all. Now that Broncos are being delivered, I am surprised at how empty this subtopic is.
Anyone wish to share their impressions and comparisons of the Bronco's base and B&O sound systems?
This guy's ego is probably through the roof with all of the clicks we've given him. Lol.
I have to respectfully disagree. Higher education isn't a fix for this.. That logic is how we ended up with Frats. 😉
Yep, same with my Tacoma. I am pushing the limits of my CV just to get max clearance for 33s. Having 37s "fit" stock trucks is absolutely amazing to me.
Based on these photos I am looking at something in the 35-36" tire range for the Bronco, but my tire of choice (duratrac) requires an 18"...
Yeah that would probably suffice, especially for longer term storage. I am waiting and watching to see what kinds of Bimini & cargo covers come out, though. If any combination of them can enclose the cabin, I will go that route for the dual purpose nature if the setup (both storage and weather...
I need to watch this thread as the solutions will help with my issues.
The Squatch will not fit in my garage, so the Bronco will rest in a lean-to/carport attached to the garage. I will need to find some sort of cover that will help keep dust and critters out if the cabin when stored overnight.
The title of the thread is a little misleading... the cause "the 2.3L is adequate" doesn't quite match the "I immediately changed my order" part. 😆
That aside, I appreciate other people's opinions. I do not agree with those that say the 2.3L will haunt us though.
I have survived 10yrs in a...
I will be adding some form of communications but have not decided which.
After tons of research, I discovered that I want all types of radios,, and to do so efficiently (without 3 separate units) requires some bending of the FCC laws.
I will have to look at the tri-bands mentioned above.
The AM still has its place for news and politics enthusiasts... there are many places between large cities where popular programs can only be found on AM stations due to distance from the nearest FM carrier of that program.
I havent had a locker on a newer vehicle. Would ABS and traction controls be disabled when in lockup? Wonder if there is a glitch in the computer not realizing that he unlocked the rear, which I think he did at some point (he locked it just before the first hill).
This is a decent example of...
I am hoping the rumored factory/dealer lift option becomes a reality. My perfect Bronco would be one notch taller than the squatch on both the suspension and tires.
If the lift isn't an option I will have just have a Mansquatch Badlands for now, which isn't bad, but lifting that particular...
The reason I logged In today was to ask a question with the same thread title... albeit for different purposes.
I won't have a Bronco in hand for at least 7 months... are there any files floating around with accurate-enough dimensions that a guy could start designing and building his own cargo...
Who cares how it looks in any given environment? Providing a capable vehicle to the masses is the point if the Bronco.
My current vehicle, with mods comparable to a squatch, spends 95% of the time on the road; but saves my ass when not, or when public roads are covered in feet if snow, or...
While you may be right, I may be crazy, but it just may be lunatics who are willing to wait for the perfect vehicle.
We won't really know until next year when squatch is allowed to be paired with a manual... that is why I am not in a 21 right now.
You have me thinking though.... since...
Thanks for the response. Yes, I am 100% ready order a Bronco, but a MY22 due to Mansquatch.
I have been discussion options with my preferred salesman, and we decided not to convert; then an email from an unrecognized name came from that same dealer mentioning the conversion. Thus, the surprise.
I just received an email that my reservation had been converted. From what I am reading, this isn't a huge problem.... unless I get the job I just applied for which is several states away.
Does the order conversion limit my ability to change dealers?
I have to agree. I was at this dealer to see the #1 FE as well. My first comment was that the online pictures didn't do the color justice.... yet all these pictures from that lighting are exactly how it looked. 😆
I just got out of the #1 FE demo at the dealer. The seating position was my biggest concern, and works for me, but I can't say it is completely truck-like.
I drive a Tacoma which is definitely not like sitting in a chair (more like a bean bag with legs sticking out front) and which doesn't fit...
I know where you are coming from, but your use of "opportunity cost" doesn't quite fit this situation. Unless someone is actively swapping hours that make money (taking off from work) with the hours spent installing a DIY, the "cost" is not an actual loss; and the exchange does in fact save...
