I like it as a park brake but I'm not comfortable with it as an emergency brake. I've had to use emergency brakes on two older vehicles after the main brake lines leaked/broke. I don't think I would be able to do that on the Bronco.
I hit 10,000 km today (roughly 6k miles). We don’t have snow here so I had to drive 5 hours to find some. You can probably see the layers of salt on the Bronco, this is why I can’t nice things for long.
Anyway the Bronco been great and handles well with a trailer other than gas milage dropped...
I’ve used Slipery mode in 2WD a couple times but we haven’t had much snow yet for me to get a good feel for it. But it does help cut down on wheel spin/slippage.
I didn't option it but I have it. I believe it is standard in the Canadian market.
Nearly every car/truck I've had in 20 years had it but I have yet to use it and the temperatures hover below 0C (32F) 4 months of the year.
I originally wanted a 4dr, 7sp with rear locker so I ordered a BB since the Base didn't have the 7sp and locker option.
After that unit was held on dirt mountain for 5-6 months I refused to take delivery and got a base 4dr Auto that was in dealer stock.
By not getting the 7sp I now have remote...
Great video. Slippery mode can also be switch to 2H. I find it useful in wet slushy roads when I don't want to be running 4 constantly (no 4A). I find it similar to ECO but less guts if that's possible
I have a Base so playing with different modes are limited.
Have you tried your Fob since? A similar thing happened to me within the first month but my fob worked perfect since. In my case I think the Bronco went to “sleep” or in low battery mode because I had the kids DVD player left plugged in to the 12v outlet overnight.
I feel this might be the better solution.
I don't think full size electrical vehicles will be around long term (high cost, low range, battery life, etc.). I think of EVs similar to the compact fluorescent bulbs... they were efficient and forced to replace incandescent bulbs but where are they now?
I’ve always wanted a convertible but a 2 door car just wouldn’t work for my family. I need a vehicle that can comfortably drive on dirt roads to get to our cabin and I can use year round including 4-5 months of snow. I liked the idea of a Jeep but would never buy one.
Along came Ford with a 4...
Also tried on the Canada site and its not working. Can’t get the shipping quote to work either. Maybe I need to try from a computer rather than my phone.
Just got back from a hunting trip. I put on just under 1000kms with about 150kms of dirt/woods roads. I wanted to give the Bronco a good run on rough road to see if anything loosened before winter. Of course it did great and no new rattles or squeaks.
I got a moose and luckily that day were...
This happened with my wife’s Ranger a few months after it was Rust Checked. There was a CEL that came on and she was back and forth to the dealer 8 times with multiple parts replaced but the CEL kept returning. I read about this on the forums and the last time we went to the dealer I asked them...
I have the Ford and Weather Tech mats. The Ford is a nicer material but the WT has more side coverage for the front. I need that for the winter road salt and snow, you’re in Florida so can’t go wrong with either.
