They have that output at very low volume, they have a Fs (resonant frequency) of 145.8 Hz, below that nasty things happen with any real power, best practice would be crossing over at 2X of the Fs, or 300 Hz.
I would recommend an active 12dB crossover at no lower than 200 Hz, if no separate amp...
The 150 Hz crossovers are an issue, even the top end 4 inch drivers will recommend a 200-300 Hz crossover at 12-24 db per octave, I wouldn’t go below 600 Hz on the Kicker co-axes at a 6 dB per octave crossover (bass blockers).
Polyfill doesn’t magically stop working, it will help reduce the pressure inside of a box depending on density and the size of the box, in a sealed enclosure it will make your box 5 to 30 % “bigger” which lowers the resonant frequency and allows the sub to dig a bit deeper.
Ignore that, you don’t have a reservation. Your experience is similar to mine.
Ordered 12/8, Ford sent an email confirmation.
I didn’t get anything else until March 25th when I got a scheduled for production email, this contained my VIN and a build week of 4/25.
My next email was June 4th...
Between state lemon laws and the federal Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act anyone in the US can push Ford in this situation to get a refund or replacement vehicle. They may not want to, but they can.
One group has spent $30K to $80K, and is likely having to make payments on that vehicle. The other group spent $100 on a reservation. A car manufacturer has a duty to be able to provide replacement parts for vehicles they produce, even if it means reducing new builds.
The program is convoluted, but what they are missing is called "Retail Order Price Protection". It is an agreement between your dealer and Ford for Ford to give them back the difference via a backend process around 45 days from your delivery.
This is what I sent my dealer...your price levels...
The good on the 2 door Heritage, love the squared fenders, like the white mod top. The bad, limited color choices, the blue interior and white dash.
Absolutely love the Heritage Limited interior, too bad it’s unobtainable basically with the 1966 limited production.
From another site, pricing info. Current 22 Big Bend is starting at $35,785, nearly a $1,600 base increase for 2022.
As for the Bronco, the Heritage model starts at $45,900 compared with the Big Bend's starting price of $37,380, and the Bronco Heritage Limited starts at $68,490, a big step up...
So the factory EQ has a massive bump (6-9 DB) centered around 70 Hz which is the upper limits of the sub bass region and there are also smaller bumps around 400 Hz and 4K. Basically a 6-9 DB bump is the equivalent of going from a 100 watt amp to a 400 (6 dB) to 800 watt amp (9 dB).
Looking...
So the factory base system has an EQ on the front and rear channels, along with an aggressive crossover on the rear channels. Currently if someone wants to add a sub, they have to get signal from the front speakers. This Forscan change would allow you to get that from the rear speaker wires...
