A Badlands did go for around $83k with buyer’s premium this week on BAT, which was ~$20k over sticker if I recall. The market seems to be sporadic, and at least in SoCal, inventory looks to be pretty limited at dealers.
I’d agree with others, Code Orange is a lot more orange in person than pictures show. This one from a while back does show the difference with Hot Pepper Red, but I’d say it’s far more orange in person. Maybe a dealer around you has a CO F-150 Raptor?
Tracker updated to shipped for me this morning with an ETA of 10/11-10/17. Cannot wait, and look forward to seeing some additional photos when you both take delivery and to hear your first impressions.
I’m guessing it may be similar to the 2.3/2.7 where the owner’s manual stated the vehicle operates on 87 but 91+ will increase performance.
“For best overall vehicle and engine performance, premium fuel with an octane rating of 91 or higher is recommended. The performance gained by using...
This was part of the Ford dealer meetings in Las Vegas (or at least they did the same thing for them). The comment from someone in attendance was that the drivers were adhering to strict speeds for safety purposes. However, the biggest takeaway from them was that the suspension was incredible...
I may not be in this week, but for reference, my 9/16 blend populated with modules the evening of 9/19 and this morning (9/22) received an update on the Ford tracker to built. So, it could be a few days before you see the update.
That’s interesting to hear. I would have thought that’d be based on an in-service date at time of purchase, but I could see it beginning the timeline on any trial services. Probably should just hold off regardless.
Quite tempted to try to activate the vehicle in the Ford Pass app, although not fully built. Is there a downside to doing so (assuming the request is even accepted)?
If I'm understanding your comment correctly, the rail car info won't be populated into Order Track. That info needs to be obtained from your dealer or certain parties have been successful via the Ford chat, but I don't think it ever shows up anywhere else (Ford tracker, Order Track, etc.)
I had a car delayed almost 3 weeks at the rail yard a few months back as they couldn’t get trucks / drivers to transport to the dealer (tracker pushed me back 3 times). The dealer had about 50 cars at the rail yard which was a few weeks of inventory, but couldn’t do anything about it.
Agree with @uncledoodoo. Call your salesperson and make sure they relay the information to the person performing the PPI not to install the front license plate bracket (I'd also follow-up with an email to get written communication).
I don’t yet have first-hand experience, but from someone I trust getting an off-road test-drive (including jumps), they said the suspension is amazing and capable. They have a Badlands Sasquatch currently, but said it is night and day different to drive.
