I know in SoCal, there have been times where vehicles sat for 2-3 weeks at the rail yard at the destination end prior to being able to get to the dealership. At least they are close for you both.
Agreed, have been keeping an eye on this after my blend date was pushed to 9/16. Per the below, seems like NS is no longer accepting vehicles for transit starting today in advance of the Friday deadline...
I had a vehicle recently sit at the rail yard for 3 weeks, and it kept pushing back the delivery date window commensurately. As noted, seemed subject to being able to get trucks at the arrival rail yard to pick it up to get it to the dealer. This was in SoCal, and dealer relayed they had 50+...
Never had a problem receiving the rail car info from my dealer. I understand Ford chat not wanting to release (they wouldn't provide me my Braptor VIN due to privacy concerns), but the last car received the salesperson didn't have any issue releasing the rail car info.
Window sticker just showed up for me as well this morning. Scheduled slightly before you on 9/16, and cannot wait. Golden ticket and very grateful for such.
Well, I had a scheduled date of 9/15 and ETA of 9/16-9/22 to SoCal so that certainly isn't accurate. Heard examples on other broncos sitting at the rail yards on either end for a few weeks as transportation could be arranged, but hopefully yours arrives soon.
Checked the backdoor link and order track app this morning, and have been converted to in production (no window sticker showing yet). Latest update was scheduled for 9/15.
Interesting, when I inquired with Ford Performance via chat they wouldn’t give me the VIN for security reasons (said I needed to obtain from the dealer).
Hadn't heard anything from Ford in a while, so decided to check in via chat. Supposedly scheduled for 9/8 - certainly wasn't expecting that. Now to just hope they start getting released...
As others have noted, I wouldn't expect supply chain issues to be worked through for another 12-18 months at minimum. Day 1 reservation holder still waiting on the vehicle, and I could foresee this demand continuing through FY23 (entirely speculative). Will ADM be able to remain as high over...
Count me as the fourth. Pretty sure my current daily averages around 13-15 MPG (the NA engine begs for a heavy foot, although rated at 19 MPG), so not sure how much of a change it will really be.
Appreciate the feedback from each. Definitely leaning towards getting the first into the garage as you all note, and working the other when the time comes (at this rate, who knows when that will be). Also a nice data point to hear @PaulMedik on your experience with the Big Bend, and not losing...
I'll try to make this short, but had issues with my dealer on my GT allocation and Raptor build, and seemingly now have two reservations. Still waiting to hear on Raptor scheduling, but did receive notice my original build is scheduled for 6/6. As I've been waiting since Jul-20, would you all...
My original build was Carbonized Grey and would have been tempted to keep the Raptor the same if it was offered. Was a tough choice though.
That's certainly interesting to hear on your process. Hopefully one of the builds is just as you would create, but in the end, don't think you'll be...
