I prefer to order my vehicles to my spec, rather than accept that someone, some algorithm, or some spreadsheet knows better at what I want than I do. I get it, I'm a unicorn (and coming up on being an "old guy" in a few years) in 2021, where the masses want the thinking done for them. I want...
Follow up to my own post - the other option is to wait for a rainy or icy night, go to an intersection, lock the rear axle, turn left or right and hit the gas. You'll go around in a very tight circle!
This is nothing new. My 1984 Ford 1710 tractor has cutting brakes - separate pedal for left and right rear brake. Cut the wheel left, hit the left brake, boom it spins around in almost its own footprint. The 2021 Bronco likely automates that same thing. With the tractor, do it on...
GVWR and GAWR is my concern. I think an 8274 would look fantastic (and work great) on the front end of a 2021 Bronco but that's 200ish pounds by the time you get it done.
Hi. I had 2 reservations, a FE and a Base. I missed the deadline for converting the Base reservation. What happens to it? Can I still convert it for 2022 or is it 'gone' (and I'll receive a refund?)
Tomorrow I'm going bronco bookends... already have a FE ordered (please don't hate me). Pulling the trigger on a basey basic base base, no options. Already thinking I'll have more fun with fhe base than the full tilt boogie FE.
Submitted 1 of 2 reservations - Lightning Blue FE with space grey/navy pier, every factory option (+ wheel locks) except keyless entry. MSRP. Parents and I've been working with this dealership since 1978, so I am highly confident that there will be no surprises and no accidental sale of my FE...
Hi - I agree. Have 2 reservations, one I want as a basic bronco (that's how the 1G were.) A Bronco with an open rear differential is like an ice cream sundae with no whipped cream. It is incomplete. It's like Ford forgot an entire Bronco demographic, the surveyors/code inspectors/park...
I like the fuel door mounting idea. If I order it through the parts dept and add it myself, does it require dealer programming to activate? If it does require dealer activation (like adding a new key fob), then that greatly increases the "DIY" price.
I like the ruggedness and scratch resistance of the MIC - but - does the MIC top have the gunner hatch? I have a BFF that rides with me occasionally, likes imbibe and shout quotes from guy movies at the public. The gunner hatch would serve him well. :)
It is your car. You bought it, you own it. Make it your own. NOW - if you add the stickers to trick a second buyer into thinking they are getting a Sasquatch Bronco, nay nay shame on you.
I have 4 (yes 4) Broncos reserved with my dealer, been communicating with them regularly (both ways). Zero swag. Perhaps they realize that if I am so Bronco crazy to reserve 4 they already have me on the hook?
HOWEVER - Swag from Mother Ford is nothing new. I bought (still have) an 1996 XLT...
Because if there were 4, people who have absolutely no intention of ever buying a Bronco would scream all over the internet that they need 5 switches and that's why they aren't buying one. Also, AFAIK, this is the same # of upfitter swithches that's been successful in the F-250/350/450 for...
Thumbs UP Ford is Ford. Many moons ago I worked for a commercial construction company, they had a Sellick teleporter rough terrain forklift that didn't run and couldn't get parts. I noticed that it had a Ford 4000 running gear, went to the New Holland dealer (Ford had sold to New Holland at...
A minor scuff. Wasn't hot enough to pop the tires. I'd be so happy to have either of these dropped off in my driveway, I could prob have it running, safe, and legal before my FE with the 6 deadly sins arrives!
Yes! I am a total Bronco guy. I bought one of the last 5G Broncos to come off the line, and wanted one of the 1st 6G to park next to it in the barn. My FE will have all of the late availability/delayed production options - so I fall back to my day 3 base reservation. I'm ordering it basey...
