Did you hook the hoist up to the roof rails themselves to avoid damage to rubber and headliner (and to leave window closed)? If not, then why not?

I'm thinking of using the roof rails as a lifting system. Disconnect at front of window, strap and hook to secure middle of rail to the mounting strap and hole at the front of the roof. Any reason why that wouldn't work?

Yes. But the Lange hooks and so forth would prevent damage to seals and headliner etc. it’s just a flat angle hook. But I can’t find anything suitable.

Looks like that greyed out thing is normal as the engine warms up. I’ve had the ass disable work for a stop or two and then re-enable. I’m wondering if that indicates there are two codes it looks for. One during engine start and another at some engine temp setpoint.

Turns out that even the greyed out symbol disappeared after a few start/stop cycles.
