  1. How do you turn the horizontal lights up front to Amber?

The spreadsheet says 0202 is DLR Position (whatever that means) and that Turn and DRL is 0404. Which is it? LF_DRL_Lamp_Ckt_Usage_Cfg: 00=Not Used 01=DRL Only 02=DRL Position 03=Fixed DRL Position 04=Turn and DRL 05=Position Only 06=Stop Turn ** NOTE 04 works during daylight, at night white...
  2. 2023 A/SS Forscan Method maybe broken by Ford

Yes, you are correct - I have that and FORSCAN generally works - just not the A/SS.
  3. 2023 A/SS Forscan Method maybe broken by Ford

I attended Offroadeo this weekend and one of the instructors was a former Ford senior tech -- I told him my FORSCAN mod to disable A/sS for my 2023 Badlands Lux wasn't "working." And he said Ford seems to have done something different for the 2023s which seems to have broken it. I assume that...
  4. Interior Sound Level Decibels Test -- Soft Top vs. Hard Top vs. No Top

dB is only about 10% of the issue. I haven't read all the replies on this, but I think they're ignoring what some call psychoaustics and other factors - all sounds are not the same - timbre and frequency of the wind noise is VERY distracting and interferes more with things you "want" to hear in...
  5. Hard top hoist with 2 contact points (pics)

I don’t think anyone is really concerned about lifting. It’s storage. Dynamic stress loads are very different than creep. Especially in hot climates. And thermoplastics are notorious for creep. Especially when delamination is a risk.

And this is what the bracket needs to look like to mount to the shelf. (probably just the section up to the first bolt and the through-hole for the alignment pin).
  7. Rubber MIC Top Seal

What's up with this? Is this common? Seems like a last minute kludge... possible source of wind noise?
  8. Hard top hoist with 2 contact points (pics)

Here's a good solution for the wall-mounted rear end shelf idea - design a mounting plate that matches the bottom profile of the MIC top and has holes for alignment pins. Attach that to this bracket. Folds down out of the way when not in use. This 18" version holds 380 pounds - 12" version...
  9. Hard top hoist with 2 contact points (pics)

The "optional" bridging piece probably is needed to avoid unduly flexing the top when lifting. But, it should fit across the back behind the frame - maybe a wire to attach to the front of the bracket as well once it's lifted to prevent the front of the bracket twisting. I think I'd go...
  10. Hard top hoist with 2 contact points (pics)

Something like this? Not sure they make an aluminum t-section with asymmetric flanges - especially not that large.
  11. Hard top hoist with 2 contact points (pics)

I tend to agree, though my guess is they use these to lift in assembly. In particular, I note there are two sets of them and the factory roof rails only work on the front set. The rear set are the ones that balance almost perfectly for lifting. But, I agree - I'd lift (only the 60# main top)...
  12. Hard top hoist with 2 contact points (pics)

No, that's the one they currently sell that requires the mid-panel to be in place - the post I was inquiring about showed what looks like a different Lange design that only supports the main top. The link you shared above does have a photo that seems to show something like this, but when you...
  13. Hard top hoist with 2 contact points (pics)

I don’t remember where all I’ve posted this but my idea is to set the back on a wall-mounted shelf (about 12-16 inches) and bolt to it.

Those hooks look coated with something. Which ones are they?
  15. Simple Lightweight Hoist System

I'm pretty sure the URL got malformed somehow. Try this link... https://www.customtiedowns.com/product2.php?catid=170&parid=0&products_id=11786&length=2.5&strap_length=2.500&fixed_length=0&webbing=cw2k-g12pe&catlist=1&store=1
  16. Rear headrest mods

Has anyone seen anything to make rear headrests more comfortable? They don't seem to be adjustable and aren't comfortable for long trips. Maybe a roll cushion just below the headrest for the neck area?
  17. Passenger door gap

Passenger door gap between front and rear doors is either smaller than driver's side or the angles are slightly different - back door rubs slightly against front door when opened and closed. Prevents using door edge trim. Has anyone else seen this?
  18. Hard top hoist with 2 contact points (pics)

I think the interest is in the part that’s inserted. Looks like a pretty snug fit.
