Those were the values that weren’t working for me But I must have done something wrong because I redid it and now it works. Perhaps I should delete the thread.
I'm looking to identify where these go. I think I must have mixed up some of them and installed the wrong one somewhere. They're smaller heads than the MIC roof bolts (same heads as the roof rail bolts), but shorter than the roof rail bolts and has a washer. (see the short one)
I found an assembly drawing online and it shows 8 of the same size bolts - so, now I'm thinking it must be from something else that took those bolts and I used the wrong ones putting some back on/together. Any ideas? The only other thing I remember removing is the MIC top.
My roof rack was factory installed so I have no instructions/schematics. I didn't pay that close attention to the bolts when I first removed it and now I realize there are 2 shorter ones with washers. If it was 4 of them, I would think they secure the rear crossbar but there are only 2. Could...
I’ll have to see that. But I’m pretty sure that the rear rack mount points are the center of gravity. I saw someone lift just from that section and it looked pretty stable.
Has anyone seen any clever solutions for adding storage at the D-Pillars? Those bolt holes seem like an obvious place to secure/nest some sort of storage box.
Everyone seems to agree that using the "lift points" are ok for lifting, but not all agree it's safe for storage - the loads and torque on those areas are significant and not to design requirements. So, what about a wall bracket like a shelf that had pegs to align with the alignment pin and the...
I'm confused - I talked with Lange about an option that only held up the main body and they said they didn't have one. Do you have link to that version?
