With the auto, I suspect you'll be just fine on those 285/75's. I had a 23 Badlands 2.3 auto ... that transmission is magic with that motor. I also have the 2dr/2.3/7spd/4.46. I ran some pretty heavy 35 x 11.5 with no real issues. I say again, you'll be fine.

Post a pic taken a bit further back. Going by the provided pic, my gut says to move the lights inboard so they are biased to the larger part of the opening. (you have disturbed my delicate internal balance - lol ) The pics at 4x4truckleds sits better with me.
