I use Mobil 1 or Castrol. Mostly because they are good. O’Reilly is nearby. Always a rebate which makes the price great for the next oil change. I use Wix filters from Rock auto
Not an expert. When does it rub? Turning or suspension stuffed? Turning only I would assume tires could be larger than stock. When stuffed I would assume suspension issue. Bump stop. Someone with more knowledge will chime in.
That’s ok. I’m in the broadband industry. Stayed at a condo for vacation and TV would not turn on. Called maintenance. It was unplugged. We’ve all done something stupid. But in your Bronco??? That’s bad.
Firm believer in all fluids changed. Oil and air filter often. Never as far out as manufacturers recommend. Also, get hands and eyes on everything possible for inspection. Belts, wiring pinch points, hoses and plastic pipes.
All Fords. Randomly switches to outside air at highways speeds. Not so nice of a random temp change. Don’t know if other brands do it. I only subject myself to Fords quirks.
Looks great. But you are probably right about failure down the road. Ford basically wrapped it in whatever material it is and it fails. Ford doesn’t care about cosmetic match. I have the new door seals. Completely different sheen.
Have 2 Fords requiring 5w-30 and one requiring 5w-20 at 6 quarts. Hate buying that $14 extra quart. The Maverick uses 5w-30 at about 5 2/3 of a quart and Bronco uses 5w30 at 5 quarts so I keep an extra 5 quart jug around for top offs. Thoughts on 1 quart of 5w30 as the 6th quart on oil changes...
I’m going to go soft on this one. It still gives me that new girlfriend feeling when I walk by it or drive it. That just sums it up.
Dislikes. As in another thread. Crap interior plastic.
I get that it’s Fords way. That’s like buying a car radio from Crutchfield and paying a local shop to determine if it’s broken or you dumped coffee into it.
