California is a Repair + Salvage > ACV state.
So if repairs plus the salvage value > cash value it's totaled. Due to very high salvage values (for the parts) a lot of newer cars are getting totaled for fairly minor damage.
Never buy a vehicle from San Tan. They add $4k of BS dealer "add ons" to every vehicle. They wouldn't commit in writing to no add-ons when I ordered my Bronco so I ordered from Earnhardt.
And the last time I got my oil changed at San Tan they hit me with an extra $50 to rotate the tires, even...
Mine is a 22. Ordered in March of 2021.
If they are willing to take just the hard top I'm more than happy to drive to work topless. With the AC on of course. Let's not be crazy.
Paid cash. Dealership didn't even bother to take me to finance, they just assumed I was going to write them a check for the whole thing.
I had a pre-order. Dealership said every one of their pre-order 2-doors just bought it outright.
Ford is (IMO) notorious for using garbage adhesives that cannot handle AZ heat. Door cards on Mustangs, for example, tend to fall off after 4-5 years.
I don't know about competence, I just think this dealership is full of sleazeballs. I'd never buy a car from them. But they are the only one...
Have 3 weeks left on the Bumper to Bumper. Carpeted headliner is starting to fall down in back by the tailgate. Taking it into the local morons to deal with it (SanTan).
Now, I would have just re-glued it with some 3M adhesive, but apparently they want the replace the entire thing?
Does this...
Cruse control buttons under my right hand would take some serious getting used to.
Obviously the 4WD shifter is lightyears better than our stupid buttons Goat Dial though.
Ford will never solve the root issue until they bring manufacturing back in house.
As a Quality Engineer, I can tell you that 100% of my QC problems are with my vendors, and holding their feet to the fire is a lot harder than in house.
