Have you seen any videos of the Bronco (or any Ford) assembly line? Watch one then Google a European or Asian assembly line.
We visited the F150 assembly line a few years ago. I thought I was at Walmart.
Well . . . I can't speak for everyone out there, but at my shop we always pre-filled the vertical filters and used a torque wrench on any plastic or aluminum pan. (y)

I was never anti-Ford or anything along those lines. I drove mostly imports and the occasional Chevy, preference toward Chevy as my first real car was a 1972 Chevelle SS 402 (purchased 1982).
Growing up driving cars from the 1960s and 1970s, 4-door cars were your grandparent's cars. No teenager or young man wanted to drive a 4-door car, they just weren't cool. I guess I just never evolved from that opinion. Plus, no kids, so we just don't need the extra doors.

Doesn't sound correct to me either. Plastic plug, okay. Crush washer/gasket, okay. But the whole steel plug? I need to see some official service info on this to believe it's accurate.
