Not being an a-hole, crash tested means fuck all if you donāt know what the standard to pass is, or the criteria for success are. TO ME, the CPS seems like grifters that just slap a seal on things because it sounds official and makes pet owners feel good
Without injury criteria or max g-forces...
Yes in gear while coasting the vehicle will go into decel fuel shut off (DFSO pronounced difso). Because the road load through the driveline can keep the engine spinning so fuel is cut off from the injectors so youāre getting infinite MPG.
Coasting in neutral fuel needs to remain on to keep the...
As far as I can tell the only "institute" that certifies dog harnesses for crash testing is the Center for Pet Safety, CPS. ( https://www.centerforpetsafety.org/test-results/harnesses/cps-approved-harnesses/)
My problem with CPS is their testing criteria:
1) No gross failure of stitching /...
That camo is a huge PITA to get off, but it's also a pain driving cars with everyone rubbernecking.
Probably an engineer who wanted to remove it and stopped at "good nuff".
Is he planning on printing out the switches, or the bezel around w/ customizable text? The second sounds pretty awesome.
I've got the vinyl stickers for the switches but I'm on the fence about them.
Have a 2.3 MT 4dr Badlands, no squatch as it wasn't available for 21MY. Could it be faster, of course! Have I ever been lacking in power for normal driving / merging / etc, absolutely not.
Wife has a FoST, at Off-roadeo she hops in, looks down and says, "I'm not sure I remember how to drive an...
Reasons for first year from an automotive engineer.
1) Issues are covered by warranty
2) Cost reductions havenāt gone into place. Sound deadening, heat shielding, higher quality parts are typically the first things to go in subsequent years. EDIT: Iāve got numbers on my temp knobsā¦.
3) The...
Having a rear locker and 4WD will get you through most moderate trails, and ANY forest service road.
If you want to do more extreme stuff, then yes better tires and a lift will help - as would a front locker and sway bar disconnect.
Nope - the Bronco doesn't have variable dampening. The Bilstein shocks are 3 position sensitive throughout the struts travel, but the valves are fixed regardless of drive mode. In the Badlands/FE in "rock crawl" the swaybar disconnects but that's the only change in suspension due to drive modes.
The tailgate has detents that hold 3 positions, 45 ° , 90 ° and 120? ° . If you don't open it fully to one of those positions it tries to close to the the next lowest angle. Sounds like you're opening to 75 ° and it's slamming back to 45 ° .
Counterpoint - It's awesome seeing racecars race. Look at Goodwood Festival of Speed. Stuff like this happens when you race and if you can afford to pay 1.7M you can pay to fix it.
Would rather see Big Oly on her head in a race than sitting at a museum.
Was out there last weekend as well and got my season pass. Did Wolf Den, Falls Dam, Dickie Bell, Rocky Mt Loop and then had to head back to the campsite. Definitely should get a group together with @broadicustomworks.
