That's what I was hoping, and I kept my tow, MIC, PPF hoping those constraints would delay my build, but I got the email on 9/2 that my build date is 9/26. Would have preferred a '23 at this point, because now I'll have a year old Bronco the day it's delivered. Oh well, at least I hope I'll get...
Placed my order (4 dr BD, Eruption Green, 2.3, MT, MIC, roof rails, tow, ppf) and $500 deposit on 2/4/22 with Chalmers Ford in ABQ, NM and got my VIN and build date of 9/26 5 days ago!
That's crazy that you ordered almost 7 months before me and only had tow as a constraint while I had tow, as well as PPF and MIC, and yet we got the same build date! Hope that Ford has worked out some of the bugs, because I see a recall almost weekly on different Ford products.
Nope, but since the '23's are supposed to start being built in Oct, I'm getting a "year old '22" a few weeks before I would have gotten a '23. Guess I'm saving the cost difference, so there is that..
My town only has about 100 people so I think I will be the only Bronco owner here. Do you know what happened to the SW Bronco owners club; it seems to have disappeared!
Not built yet, only a build date of 9/26, so we'll see. That's a pretty big change from a 2 dr, 2.7 SAS w/mid pakg to a 4dr, 2.3 and MT, but if it gets you in a Bronco sooner and you can live with it, go for it! And I moved from Florissant (9200') a year ago because the cold and snow got to be...
2.3, MT, 4 door, Eruption Green, MIC, roof rails, tow pckg, PPF; some of these I thought would constrain my build so that I could get a '23, but apparently not. If you're hoping to re-order I hope you don't get the email I got, but either way, hope you get your Bronco soon!
Just got an email from Ford w/VIN and build date (week of 9/26) and while I'm pretty happy about that, was hoping to get a '23 build; now I'll have a year old Bronco when I go to pick it up! I guess the good thing is that it will be a year old Bronco with zero miles on it. When the email came in...
Since she got it the day before, she probably had a temp sticker in her window (although I didn't see one) or she was going so fast it blew off her license plate holder in the rear. And she couldn't get insurance if it wasn't registered, so you should be OK.
I'm no expert, but since you're doubly curious I'll take a guess at your question, but I think it determines what gear it's in after you release the clutch after shifting into whatever gear you want. Yes, I'm from NYC and am a wise guy!
No apologies necessary! I'll probably just ride it out, and hopefully get my Bronco one of these days; wouldn't be surprised if it turns into a '23 model, which I'm OK with, because maybe they'll have ironed out all the glitches with their new quality control guy.
If it wasn't a 350 mile round trip, I'd do that as well! I did get an email from Ford, but that's it. I'm 69, and hope I get my Bronco while I can still enjoy it!
Chalmers seemed to be, but not hearing from the salesman at all is a little rude; he also said that the towing was 2500, and when I said it was 3500, he argued with me, and also didn't know that there were speakers in the kick panels. I heard good things about Powers so you should be OK!
I ordered my BD, 2.3, MT, MIC almost 6 months ago from Chalmers in ABQ, and haven'y heard from my salesman since I drove off their lot; about ready to cancel and look at the 2022 Tundra w/Off Road package and 6.5' bed, since I'd be trading in my 2021 Trail Boss.
