A stock Big Bend measures 72.9” in height. Upgrading the tires to 285/70R17 from the stock 255/75R17 will increase the height by 0.6” resulting in a total height of 73.5”, or 6 feet 1.5 inches tall.
I installed mine last weekend but have been having trouble with keeping the top level while hoisting. It keeps wanting to tip backward and when it does that it actually slides along the straps.
I did space them out the 2” per the instructions. It seems that because the back of the clamshell is heavier, it tends to “bottom out” at the rear and that is causing it to tip and slide along the strap underneath. I’ve pulled the hoister just tight enough to engage and checked that tension was...
I just installed my harken hoister today, but the top keeps tipping backward while lifting it up (I have 4-door so balance might be different). It’s sliding along the straps that are going front-to-back and I’m not sure how to prevent that. How are you keeping yours level?
@ORACLE Lighting does the grille letter kit come with instructions on how you wired to the aux switches? Just trying to figure out how I’m gonna wire them up once I get them!
