Okay here is another possibility to check.... There is a drain pan, very small, would fit in your hand. There is one at either end of the front window frame. The are just above the visors (toward the outside).... Yes they are up inside the plastic trim panel. My thought being they collect all...
I think so.... It came shipped that way and did not seem harmed in any way, but I am not. I placed it upright in the back and strapped it to a rear panel molly. The weight sits on the floor. I can even put my rear seats upright in a 2 door no less!
Except....
Everyone has a different perspective and different priorities.
and while I can understand why someone would think " chasing audiophile sound in the Bronco is a fool's errand. " and I can appreciate why they would think so... There are very valid arguments for this perspective.

I do not know if you could paint over it or not.... I am not telling you not to.... I just do not know how well it would adhere or how long it would last. I doubt it would cause it harm... I just do not know.
I would not use it on a drive shaft or axle either... I agree with you. Like I said though I think the Drive shafts are some sort of Corten steel (or similar) where the rust layer actually is intended and becomes a passivation layer where the rust can not dig any deeper than just the surface.
I am very aware... I have a "Limited"... but the only choice close enough was "heritage" so... that is what I chose. I guess I could have chosen "Badlands" but is that really any closer? AND I listed "Heritage Limited" under "vehicles.... so I guess both are listed when you look at my tag on the...
