As someone who went through back to back hurricanes 4 years ago, I understand the delays that alone can cause. Thank you for offering them, because most shops around me didn't want to be bothered unless it was an insurance job and didn't want to be bothered with painting parts.
To anyone waiting on their painted flares, they are worth the wait. Mine arrived today, incredibly well packaged, and they are absolutely beautiful. I was really worried about the color match since my bronco is tri-coat paint, but they are somehow against all my concerns a perfect match. I will...
Do you mean it's 33" with the weight of the vehicle squishing it down? The measurement is with no weight on the tire. Goodyear specs show the diameter of the tire at 34.4". Very few 35" tires actually measure out at 35" tall. Most are smaller than that.
I have to agree with AccuTune, I found them to be very soft and I am having to run the adjusters maxed out in the rear and not far from it in the front. I also wish I had added about a 1/2" of preload prior to install, just assumed if I wanted to adjust them later it would be no big deal, like...
I did this just this past week, but I didn't trust it at interstate speed for the trip I needed to make, so using some scrap 1x1 aluminum angle I fabbed up a couple quick hold downs for the rear roof section. Used factory roof bolts and some random spacers I had in the garage.
Confirmed this morning, no need for the half moon post. I just pulled the lift back, so that the pads went between the roof and the plastic wiring channel. Also I have the larger Mabbett rear speaker pods and had no problem.
I can't say for sure, but I think you could probably skip the half moons. I'm not sure if you would be able to get the front center post to make contact and support the very front edge though. That said, I think if you just shifted the lift as far in as the roll bar would allow, you probably...
I just installed the MBRP today. For a 2 door, it tells you to cut one of the pipes. For a 2.7 you use all the stock hangers, for the 2.3 it gives you a new rear hanger to swap in in place of the stock hanger.
The 1/2" blocks are on his site, just not in a kit. You have to buy the blocks individually by the diameter and center hole you need, in the thickness you want.
