My best guess is this is their latest attempt to weed out even more orders. They apparently don’t care about pissing off current order holders because they know as soon as they open the order banks again they will get plenty of new ones.
Well this is not good news. Just got this email from Ashlie at Chapman Ford...

A link to a reply from Ashlie was posted above, but it seems people are missing it. Here's the the text from the Chapman thread...
I did watch the video. Didn’t see anything about powering to the switches. Guess it shouldn’t be that hard. I haven’t messed with any of the switches yet so we’ll see.
I’m guessing you could have these hooked up to come on when the doors open or switched with one of the upfitter switches.
Also what’s that pull cord you used to flip up the top???
I honestly do not love any of the colors offered on the Bronco. I chose Carbonized Gray because it’s the color I didn’t like the least. Love Lightning Blue but obviously that wasn’t a choice. Bring on the fun colors Ford. Grabber Blue, Need for Green, Orange Fury, Avalanche.
October 10th delivery. So far I have had the following issues…..
-Service engine soon light. According to the Ford Pass app “Powertrain Malfunction /Reduced Power”. Had it in the dealer and zero code history.
-Got stuck in gear and would not downshift twice.
-Sync froze up twice. Once causing...
I don’t hate it. But I also like different. A white hard top and some more aggressive pizza cutters would look better than those pontoon street tires.
LOL they have been using Black Diamond for years on other models. I’m sure they are fine.
I’m surprised Gene Simmons of Kiss hasn’t come after either for royalties.
:LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO:
The twill is a thicker, heavier material similar to the stock soft top. Black Diamond is a lighter and thinner canvas like material like a stock basic Jeep top.
Twill is almost black and BD is more gray.
Also of note the twill has a lifetime warranty where the black diamond has a 5 year warranty.
"Dealer said". :LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO:
But seriously it would not surprise me. They completely shut down Maverick order banks for a MY twice now. This and them upping allocations for dealers may actually lessen the backlog. Start fresh in MY 2024 and maybe things will finally normalize...
I think Ford will revive this in a few years when the regular Bronco situation normalizes.
I’d buy one in a second. Loved my Gladiator. Utility, off-road capability and the fun factor. Put a hard tonneau on and it’s like having a big trunk.
