Production of the new Mini FJ Cruiser has now been confirmed for Jan 2025. It will be produced in Mexico in both ICE and EV forms. Expect Toyota to reveal it by late summer to early fall.
If welding repair is deemed acceptable, I assume drill stopping the crack would be best practice?
Drill stopping, being to drill a small through hole, say 1/8", at the end of the crack, to stop it from continuing, and then weld everything back up, including the drill stop hole.

Your forgetting, many of us moved here from California, I left SoCal in 2017, I worked right down the road from ADV.
Let him insult away, Texas gets the last laugh with all the major California companies that moved here as well.
Because ADV said you had to pay up front to order, TWO YEARS AGO.

Promising people a product that was supposed to be delivered over a year ago is both tricking and scamming.
@Administrator it's time to ban vendors that make two year promises and don't deliver!
As I said, 40 years of one second tier company after another:
AMC
Eagle
Mitsubishi
Renault
Chrysler
Daimler-Benz
Cerberus Capital Management
Fiat
FCA
Stellantis
There is a common thread, lack of sales, lack of quality and lack of management excellence. Stellantis dropped all pretense of having...
Exactly, let alone they only sponsor one team in NHRA and zero in NASCAR.

You highlighted my point, 40 years of one second tier company after another disappearing, exactly the path the S-ABCXYZ company has set themselves up for, who needs advertising, yeah right.
I plan to go to the North Texas Auto Expo in Feb as well, It looks like they won't be there either.
So now Stellantis is going to turn Jeep into another Renault Eagle?
For those that remember them...
Totally agreed, my point, China is well known for little to no patent protection and a track record of "borrowing" and reselling someone else's design.
Snap-on, Harbor Freight settle floor jack case
Harbor Freight’s Daytona DJ3000, the floor Jack Snap-On absolutely hates for this reason
Once ADV places their product in China for production, the China plant manager's brother's cousin will copy the design and resell them, possibly even from the same factory.
Just keep your eye on Alibaba, once there, resellers will have them on Amazon and Ebay.
Alibaba Pro manufacture 4x4...
Of course not, the stickers would be made in China as well, but they have to be "attached" in the US to claim the product is "Made in the US".
Wait for the Chinese knockoffs to be sold for a quarter to half of ADV's price.
So those of us who saw through the smoke and mirrors early on, and got bashed for pointing out there were no marketing or project management skilled people at ADV, let alone the joke of pay in full up front, and were bashed for our opinions, glad to see some are now singing a different tune...
Illusions of a product or service, to be delivered, if only you pay in full, up front.
A fool and his money are soon parted!
(I'm running a year end special for 2024 Home Remodeling, pay up front, in full, and we promise, we really will deliver, really.
Please venmo your payment in full to...
