For those so interested, my small, rural dealer still has a '24 Outer Banks in Cactus Gray and soft top with the 2.7l - current pricing is not shown on the website.
About 90 miles NW of Amarillo...
Just a heads up for those with American Express cards to check your offers...I had one that gets an additional 5% off with up to $250 in total savings. The 5% is the usual statement credit.
It essentially creates a stackable savings when your AXP card is used.
Do not underestimate the impact of the shutdown on the Customs side of things...while the heaviest lifting would be on the Canuck side, I'm guessing there is stuff on the US side as well.
I believe the trucks can be tracked as well as trains, so the next question is whether your sales weasel...
Concur...I didn't even get that low towing a trailer the other day...and got a true 22+ for the ~670 miles from north Houston back to Dalhart on Tuesday running mostly 90/91 ethanol free gas (Houston area has 91 but Wichita Falls was 90 and Amarillo 91 to go with 86 availability).
As long as you are moving, yes...sitting in traffic on hot pavement, not so much...lessons learned over the years.
First 'road trip' in the Miata, I burned so bad I peeled four times. I learned to use sunscreen after that LOL! Even if only a two-hour drive...
Was driving back from Houston yesterday and saw a black moar-door rocking the soft top down...was only in the upper 80s, so not an extreme afternoon save for the sun...
But definitely brave to do it with the onset of rush-hour traffic. Lost site not far some the split to get on the 35W managed...
Who at the dealership said it wasn't there? And how big of a dealership? Yes, it makes a difference...
My small rural dealership has just enough staff to count on both hands, including the shop. They see EVERYTHING as it comes off the truck.
A larger dealership with disinterested staff may...
^^^This!
My '26 came with SAS flares, so the non-SAS tires seem small. I've got the 4.70 since I have a manual and I added the Elec StaBar Disconnect, but other elements of SAS like shocks would need to be added later. But, I couldn't justify the additional cost on the order...time will tell if...
My Painted-in-Body-Color top is not white inside the vehicle. It's blackish with the black liner. Maybe this is new for '26...but it is decidedly NOT white.
Got right at 20 on the -670 mile drive to Houston. 2.3l 7spd with 4.70 but no Sasquatch. Cruise was set on 80 most of the way. Half of the drive was on 91 and half on 93...it actually dropped a bit on 93.
I've got -350 miles to the Valley tomorrow morning and back and then back up to Dalhart...
Im a bit confuzzled...my Badlands has a switch for fan speed. It bumps up and down instead of being a rotating dial, but that non-touchscreen selector is there on a '26 w/ Lux.
Unless you take out the gunner's turret, it shouldn't impact use of a lift.
And, that said, I'm thinking the top may actually be a lot easier to manage without a lift if that hatch is removed...I've got a painted top but haven't removed the turret yet.
