I was looking into things like PPF to protect the paint when I go off-road, but then I thought ā if Iām getting my car wrapped, why not get a colored wrap? Protect the original paint and also opens up pretty much infinite options for colors.
Iāve never had a new car, let alone wrapped one...
A lot of things (grab handle, grille, tint, tow pack, rock rails) can be taken care of aftermarket for a lot less $ than the trim upgrade costs. Also I don't think goat modes are worth worrying about. IMO the main things I feel that I'm sacrificing for the lower price of basesquatch are:
1. No...
The photos of Rapid Red in this thread made me switch my order from Oxford White to RR earlier this week. I also went to the dealership and saw RR on a truck out in the sun and WOW, the way the color reflects light šµ
White is beautiful on the Bronco as well, but I feel like red adds a lot of...
Cloth > MGV/Leather so my vote is for the basesquatch. Plus you can use those savings for some aftermarket upgrades. Including rock rails that are better than the factor option.
Same. I'm holding off on any bumpers until we get more info. But it does seem like this one is promising. I don't have a front cam with my base, but the control relocation + lower winch position might just do the trick for those that do.
What I'm really curious about is whether an intercooler...
Yeah I couldn't agree more. I get that delays are part of rolling out a brand new model, especially with COVID throwing a wrench in everything, but there's easy little things they could do to make it a little easier for order holders. Give us your best estimate for our build month. Even just...
Good catch. As best I can tell it seems like that warning in the manual is a boilerplate disclaimer they put on every product for legal purposes since it doesnāt say anything vehicle-specific.
Looks to me like they do relocate the forward parking assist sensors, but block the adaptive cruise...
Yeah the bumper would probably still be visible through the camera even without the bar. But I'd be interested to actually see it because if it's just obstructing the very bottom of the camera view, it might be workable.
It seems like Ford is basically making everyone choose between a front...
Here's a link to the manual for it. Looks like they do provide for sensor relocation:

It's not exactly an integrated winch, but it's the least obtrusive one so far that I've seen. The bumper does stick out in order to accommodate the winch, but the lower placement lets it stick out a little less. Here's a few pictures of the bull bar version for perspective:
