My state requires front plates, but it's not really enforced, at least in my area. I didn't have front plates on my last vehicle and it was never a problem in 6 years. I'm going to tell the dealer to leave it off.
As long as you don't have to make any other compromises, that's a smart move. I'd do the same if it was an option on 2 doors.
You save a little money and get to drive around your bronco while Ford figures out how to make a hard top, win/win
The version without the bull bar went in stock today at Stage 3: https://www.stage3motorsports.com/107870-Bronco-Warn-Elite-Front-Bumper.html
A rep told me that he suspects the bull bar version will follow soon. I'll probably hold off for a few months until I see reviews and other aftermarket...
A few pics of the prototype were posted here in April (https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/first-look-at-warn-ascend-front-bumper-with-brush-guard-bull-bar-for-2021-bronco.15540/):
That's interesting insight regarding the ducts. If the ram effect isn't part of the design, I'd feel a lot more comfortable getting this bumper since it does seem that the downward-facing cutouts would provide plenty of air.
True, point taken. It seems the only real solution will be to wait until more people get their hands on these things to see exactly what we're dealing with. I'm in bronco mode so I've been wanting to plan out all my mods asap, but I'm sure having some patience with these things will go a long ways.
Yeah, the mod bumper is great aside from the stock winch solution. Hopefully someone figures out a way to improve that.
Personally I ordered the plastic front bumper with the base with the plan of getting something aftermarket. All I want is something steel with a reasonable winch mounting...
I'm strongly considering getting the Warn Elite front bumper for my bronco, but I'm concerned about the intercooler:
The question I have has to do with the winch position. It's lower than the 4WD and Steel Mod Bumper winch positions, and puts the thing right in front of the intercooler (red...
I'm sure they'll always call their lowest trim "base", but the interesting question is what will that mean in terms of price and options. For '21 I feel like base is an absolute steal in these terms relative to any other trims. I played around with B&P a LOT during the wait, and it seems like...
I was all excited for this one until I saw in the reviews that the product contains lead and the manufacturer is super evasive about that fact. I don't need any more brain damage than I already have.
That's too bad. Yeah I guess it makes sense that a brand new construction won't be as good as something tried and true. Do you find yours to be good enough at least? Or are you thinking of looking for an aftermarket solution?
Edit: Just saw your earlier post answering my questions lol
Also people should keep in mind that the MIC top you're getting is the same make as the one on the $30k bare-bones base. I'm not going to tell anyone how they should or shouldn't feel, but I will say people should be realistic in their expectations.
A fair comparison for the quality of the top...
I’m not sweating the tank size at all. I’ll buy some exterior tanks + mounts for when I’ll be far from civilization, but when I’m not (99% of the time), I’ll pull it off and be glad to not have that extra weight.
