What about the long rubber strip it came with? I have had my rack on for months without the strip and it is very loud wind howling under the cowl going over 35 mph.
Any instructions on cutting that rubber strip to size? I plan to make a groove where the metal is so it can cover to full length...
I posted that pic especially because it had so many easter eggs like the opener. The magnetic logo area, spice rack, bottle opener. The plastic rack won't squeak like the metal Amazon after market ones. That truck is a 5th Gen Santa Fe rip=off made by Fords China partner JMC, known domestically...
And Ford's Er...EV Bronco competitor to this is only for China starting under 33k
International manufactures trying to get ahead of Rivian's R2S in markets the are still going EV.

A horse should be kicking the duck. Not all of us are able to spring for the SAS version.
Uninformed people call my Bronco a "Mustang-Jeep". Ford left a 25 year marketing void and Jeep started putting their badge on everything. I think people that spend a lot of time smelling sun-dried rubber...
3W feels the most like rubber, never had the OEM, but Weather Tech ones feel more plastic then rubber. I have the full 3W for 4-door, but I like that is all in one set and got the back seats covered too all in one go. The only "con" is the lip is a little short, but I don't intend to spill a lot...
Paint is not some magic bondo that will keep plastic tops from cracking. Painted tops will show cracks like Italian plaster after a few years of heat/cold/vibrations too, just colorfully. Time will tell. Spray bedliner to cover the cracks, a 3rd party hard shell top or the soft tent top are...
It might be geofenced by area/dealers willing to do it.
I think where I live in Texas the dealer lobby is strong and might not allow this full idea yet and dealers willing to pay Amazon a " lead finders fee" like Zillow does with houses.
Thought it would suck as lots of ranchers in TX spray old rusty trucks for hunting with that stuff, but it actually almost looks OEM. I can see dealers upselling this already as a solution for cracking tops.
I daily mine, 30k miles in 10 months 2-6 start/stops a day and got green rating at my dealer check last week. I think long time sitting and cold weather ruin batteries more then using it like intended.
In short:
Ford Ranger is a big truck for small people.
I had the newer Ranger, a '21 model Fx2 (5th Gen with rear locker) as the Broncos were too expensive back then. It is a great truck, the newest one is more Bronco than ever except the screen is sideways. Some 4x4 (Fx4) models come with the...
Quite some price swing with even cheaper ones on Amazon. For something I will set and forget I'll go with the cheapest 4D ones as I just don't want people breaking my windows to get my camera stuff, not so much for gear hanging off.
My Hyundai dealership (a car you can also buy on Amazon)was forced to update by the parent co and raised the prices of service by 50% to recoup the millions they spent to update an older location with 60inch glass touch screen table to sign financing agreements among other things.
The one good...
I'm (re)calling this a distraction.
Who cares if they have a cafe/modern experience. My dealer has 2 days - two-week wait times for service diagnostics.
