I'm in the same camp with folks just custom ordering something if I'm spending 40k+.
I do have a question about special-ordering in general. Anyone chime in but this may be most relevant for @ChrispyKC as I'm assuming he knows the process about as good as anyone. How late in the model year can...
This would be great! We currently default to cheap 2-way options when travelling. I currently going after HAM licensure but would be great to have this integration as a fallback option.
I would be curious about it. Not quite ready to jump into the electric bandwagon but I am paying attention to the Rivian. Seems to be a ton of potential with that rig.
Looks like we've got a date on the Mach-E. 11-17-19.

This is fascinating. I do like seeing the mud thrown at the walls here as there has been a bunch to chew on lately. Though I'm unsure of how to look at this in regards to a 2021 model year vehicle. In other words, this seems like a fairly substantial departure from a conventional roof/roll...
Ha, that's right - forgot about this banner. For as little as we know about the (Bronco)Bronco, Ford has said enough for us to have some reasonable expectations. Could this just be a steaming pile, an Escape with a flat-windshield, or just a gadget-oriented crossover that actually doesn't have...
Got you, makes sense. I think the ship has sailed on getting any current year vehicle that's stripped of those "quality of life" features. I do like many tech features such as good infotainment (if it has Android auto) but it does add some bloat to a vehicle and possibly create the issue where's...
I'm not a big fan of all the secrecy stuff - I want it, and I want it now, and all. But, I just assume this isn't that unique and folks here seem to think the same as there can be quite the gap between announcement and reveal. Seems that the (apparently) earlier-than-planned announcement in 2017...
I'm not sure what you mean by "had I known all this last year"? I mean, didn't you though? Compared to last year, there really isn't any surprising news. Ford didn't confirm anything you mentioned. Besides, even if they did, are tool-less removable doors, top, and door holders somehow take away...
Same (maybe). I'm new car averse and never thought I'd consider it but here we are. It's not so much as depreciation as I'd plan on keeping it long term (10+ years). I'm just concerned about the initial cost sticker shock when considering how much higher trim Wranglers and Gladiators were/are...
@TeocaliMG sorry your thread kinda got robbed here but FWIW, I voted F150 FSB. :)
I still wouldn't mind Ford to have a Tremor package on an Expedition tho, as a stop gap. :)
Ford discontinues original Bronco - there's a good reason for that...
Ford discontinues FSB - there's only dumb reasons for that.
Just about everyone here (that also thinks having a new FSB would be cool):
"I understand why Ford is bringing back the EB version of the Bronco due to...
Hi @Midnight Blue, what's your opinion on the original Bronco? I'm a bit slow some (most) times but with all this back and forth I get the impression you would view the original Bronco as not-a-real Bronco or a midget mobile as you just suggested about the projected size of the new Bronco...
That 1/21ish production date has been the only date really confirmed by any of the sources commenting here (maybe anywhere)... At least since 2/2019 with that U725 post from carmaker - maybe earlier.
May help to manage timeline expectations based on that. To a degree, I get the frustration and...
Finally, we see this little guy. This has been a bit of a mystery to me when it comes to the Bronco timeline as this Lil Bronco is apparently slated to release before the standard Bronco... We've at least been seeing Bronco mules for awhile but nothing, until now (apparently), on the small...
@Nickp I'm not suggesting your source do this because it hurts me inside, but if his reply was that damn "new small Ford truck" emoji, I would respect his troll game but I would stop listening to him out of principle. :]
So there's more truck news on the way from Mike Levine at Ford. He's hinting at some "small truck" info. Get ready for the journalists to lose their minds again...
