Soft shackle and recovery rope / kinetic strap, first aid kit, mechanic kit. (Choose your favorite brand.)
Curt Hitch Class III
EDOSTORY Hitch mount Bike Rack 2-Bike Capacity, platform style, no hitch extender required, $94. It clears the rear mounted tire and works well, just tested this...
For me, if I wanted to take a trip and then take the top off when at my destination I would have to have a secure area to store the top because of all the stuff in the back. It's too much of a hassle to take everything out, strap down the top and then put it all back in.
So I looked at the...
I bought and installed the Rampage Trailview for my 4dr last week and I am impressed with it so far, except for at speed above 55 mph. The middle crossbow has a ton of vibration. It seems like the middle crossbow should be larger than the others, and it's the same as the rear crossbow. The...
The timing for releasing the tops would have been better back when the original MIC 1.0 was found to be bad. Getting product to market at that time would have been key, but nearly impossible for a quality product.
The market price that would sell tops is closer to $3k than $6k for selling...
Honestly I've been looking forward to this app. In NYS there are very limited options for legal off-road, as NYS forbids it on public land except where posted, and that's in one location I've found for ATVs only... The exceptions are forest roads and private land. The Adirondacks are...
A picture would help. Are you still running stock base wheels? True 33s like 255/85R16 (33.1"), or wider 285/75/R16 (32.7")? The tire width and the offset of your wheels will make a difference with the amount of lift, but I agree with jrod5k, 2" should be sufficient for 35s, unless you want...
Mine is my daily too. My commute is about 20 minutes and I'm constantly taking the first two panels off and putting them back on. But, it takes me about 2 minutes to do either, aided by the fob three unlock windows down trick. It's worth it. Panels go in the bag and properly supported. This...
Amazing job. Did you work from a general set of plans or build as you go?
I was just considering doing this myself, it's nice to see what others can do. That cabinetry work though, man. All the skill it takes to do each part of the work at that level is amazing.
Not sure what you or your...
So still stock 3.73 gearing?
I've been looking at tires for a bit and based on --> https://tiresize.com/gear-ratio-calculator/
it looks like I shouldn't go over 33"s.
The real question was - did you get a permit to drive on this road?
And, why no dogs, fires, or ATVs? It doesn't say no Broncos, lol.
I want to read some stories about people who've been caught on trail without documentation, lol.
How come : simply because jeeps haven't significantly changed their product since 1990's and have been value engineering their manufacturing process that whole time. They are on hardtop version 200+.
The top will remain the Achilles heel of the Bronco and problems will become worse after...
I wouldn't worry about ADV top.
ADV have a bigger interest in standing behind their top and keeping you happy as they live or die by it and their brand recognition specifically for their parts. Fords brand recognition is for the entire vehicle and to them the top is simply a replaceable part.
Bronco owner's manual instructions for rust treatment every 6 months.
But seriously -- fluid film or other lanolin product really helps. I live in the rust belt, where all roads are salted and have a fine salt mist daily for 6 months of winter.
That corroseal product someone mentioned...
I too am 6'3" . You're just supposed to sit tall and use the roof as the sun block. The only problem is when she puts it down and I can't see half the road on passenger side, lol.
